Crock pot dinner = bad idea

After barely cooking anything in the last month, I managed to throw together the ingredients for crock pot chili (one of DH's faves) yesterday. Then I had to smell it cooking all day. Ick!

No more crock pot meals until after the first trimester!

I did the exact same thing yesterday. It was a roast, and it was good, but the smell for 9 hours was not cool! Vom.

Oh no! I am counting down the days to week 13 myself - in hops that I won't be tired 24/7 and the smells will stop making me want to hurl.

My one attempt at a crock pot meal resulted in all the windows in the house being opened, fans on, and cranking the heat so I wouldn't freeze during the airing out process.

oh that stinks!! I did the same thing yesterday... Pulled Pork in the crock pot made me gag most of the day... but it was tasty when I finally got to eat it!

I have a hard time handling meat in the morning even when I'm not pregnant! I packed the crock pot away last time knowing it would be a while before I pulled it out again.

So true. I made chicken and dumplings the other day, and started gagging immediately when I got home from work. Our house smelled like cream of chicken soup aaaaall night. I couldn't eat one bite.
