Timing of BD and OPKs in Fertile Window?

Good morning, ladies! I could use some timing advice.

My OV Watch turned up "Fertile Day 1" today--hooray! That means I should be ovulating on Tu, 2/14 (the watch gives you a 4 day pre-o window and 2 days of o...I will be confirming with OPKs). So...the game is on!

For those of you who OPK test 2x/day in your fertile window, what times do you do it each day? I know they're supposed to be most accurate between 10am and 8 pm--so 11 and 7? Just wing it? I only did it once a day last cycle, so I thought I'd try twice.

I'm also trying to maximize the BDing, knowing that ED is going to make DH way too tired (that's what happened last cycle, and we got totally screwed with him being too tired to finish). His work schedule is just so nuts right now--90 hour weeks. So...I'm thinking BD Sat, Mon, Tue--which would be o-3, o-1, and o? Obviously, that could change if my OPKs say something wildly different than my OV watch, but I think the window is going to be the same pretty much. And I'm pretty much guaranteed to get action on Valentine's day, so that's good!

Congrats on the FW!!! I think you're BD times sounds like good timing! Are you temping at all?

I think your BD timing is good. As for OPKs, I test 2x a day. I refuse to PIAC at work so I test in the morning and in the evening when I get home. I don't think testing at an exact time is really necessary.

I test twice a day...11:30 AM and around 6-7 PM. I think your sex schedule sounds fine. As long as you're getting in EOD you should be good. Good Luck!!

I'm with you on this. I can't get myself to PIAC at work either.

I test before work (not with FMU but with round two) and then when I get home. I try to hold it at work from at least 3 on so I have two hours built up.

BD sounds good timing wise, as far as testing I always seem to have good luck in 2-3 pm window but it is annoying testing at work!

I've never thought to use round 2 in the morning. I've always just used FMU. I always drink a cup of coffee in the morning and go a 2nd time before I leave for work so I think it would be too diluted. Have you gotten positives in the morning?

LH is usually metabolized into your urine in the afternoon so most brands recommend you don't use FMU. The LH in FMU may be left over from the day before. Unless it specifically requests FMU, I wouldn't use it just in case.

Yup. But keep in mind I'm only on Cycle 2.

I have a really small bladder and pee A LOT so I was concerned that I would never have a high enough concentration to get a positive but I did twice last cycle.

From the time I lay down in bed to read and the time I wake up, I probably pee 4 or 5 times.

Lord help my bladder when I'm pregnant....

I can't bold because I'm on my phone but your last comment made me laugh. You could very well be peeing every hour when you're pregnant. Good luck when the time comes!

BWAHAHAHA! I think you're right, futuremamabird. I peed every hour or more when I was preggo--you might just need to install a toilet in every room!

By the way, I'm glad to know someone else wakes up a zillion times to pee at night, preggo or not!

Thank you everyone for your great replies! I was feeling pretty confidant, but it's really good to have my gut feelings confirmed. I know that planning these things out can be pretty nuts (all my planning got TOTALLY SCREWED last cycle by DH's on-call schedule!), but I like to know I'm kind of in control.
