What is a FFCF? Same as a FFFC, yes? If so, here goes:
Tomorrow night DH and I are going on a date to celebrate our 8 yrs together. MIL offered to keep Quentin overnight, but not Lydia. She said she wants to sleep in on Sunday. So...I plan to eat as slooooow as possible to drag the time out. I will have appetizers and a full meal, AND have dessert. You won't keep both kids? Really?

I think babies look weird in jeans. I even had DD in some yesterday and ended up changing her. Just looked wrong for some reason!
If you lived closer, I would totally bring her by! I am sure she would love you. : )
And I agree. Especially when they are in a onesie and jeans. They have beer bellies, so the bellies hang over the jeans and it looks silly. I will only put her in jeans if the top is flowy (like in my siggy pic). Otherwise-- I can't help to laugh when I see her in them. lol
I am going to guilt trip DH into taking me to a hockey game on Wednesday. Gonna pull the whole new mommy I need a night out *** on him. It worked for the movies a few months ago:) so we are gonna try it again.

I must be weird cause I like how Alex looks in them. But he doesn't have much of a belly. He's a little beanpole despite eating 6-7oz bottles every 4 hrs.
I have become used to not having Alex every day and while I miss him, I am enjoying being able to get things done like grocery shopping and cleaning the house..... and being able to have a party for St Patricks Day.

Really... Tell Quentin to wake Grandma up early on Sunday, haha.
I'm going to use a get together this weekend with friends as an excuse to make another no-bake nutella cheesecake. I'll probably end up making 2.
I miss being able to drink alcohol whenever I want. I miss getting drunk.
I don't give two hoots about half of the stuff my nannykid#2 is into. It's getting hard to pretend I like smurfs, dragon veil, and rhyming every single word I say with a made up word.

I don't understand planning for a tax refund instead of adjusting your withholding. All it means is the government is returning your money to you after they have held on to it for months interest free.
after reading the Thursday thread about BPF and going natural and women who think they are better... yada yada I did some soul searching and realized that I EBF because I am goal oriented and needed to prove it to myself that I could do it (that is pretty much it). Sure immune system, health of baby, blah blah blah- no, it is about me having control issues. I think if women just realized that people wouldn't be so agitated on both sides of the coin.
It is my version of a training for a marathon (because good lord I will never do that).
6 month old = a half marathon- so I am a little over 13 miles... weee!
Now if only I could be in that good of shape after BFing.
As of 3:30 this morning I realized I may be too clumsy to have an innocent little baby. We were walking into the kitchen with my eyes still half closed and bumped her head in the door way. I wish I could say that's the first time I accidentally hurt her. I'm such a clutz! The sucky thing is, I think she's just as clutzy as I am....poor kid.

That's the only reason I ever tried BF. There are some people who have openly admitted they think everyone should BF or at least try. I don't understand that line of thinking, I'm not telling everyone they should go out and get an epi if they don't want one.

I watch the Wendy Williams Show by choice. I used to blame it on there being nothing else on at 11am but now I actually like and i'm ashamed to admit that
I am getting more and more annoyed with people on TB (and in general) who refuse to consider medical opinions or scientific studies. I am not saying that people should just accept "expert" advice, but it should at least be acknowledged.
Example. I hate when people give anecdotal evidence to refute scientific findings. It doesn't matter that your FF baby didn't get sick often. The studies are talking about trends. I'm glad that your baby was the exception.

I'm going to assume this is directed towards me. The "it's not best for all babies" comment is more from the mom aspect. I was MISERABLE BFing, I'll even venture towards depressed. I am not lying when I said I hated every minute of it.
People pick and choose which studies they will listen to. I can guarantee there are some BFing mothers who will not RF until 2 even though it is proven safest for baby.

I hate when people take pictures of their baby, then photoshop their eyes to make them appear REALLY blue..I see some pics of their baby with mildly blue eyes, but then they take this other picture and they are like super blue....like really? (And I have seen this a few times on the bump, but also ALOT on my facebook, and these are babies I have seen in real life (the facebook ones), so I know their eyes are not that blue). Like, is your baby not cute enough the way she (or he) is, so you have to alter how they really look? I kinda compare it to wanting to put contacts in your babies eyes because you dont like the color...kinda...
Also, I hate fake people as I am sure most people do. But I am dealing with one in my life right now and UGHHHH!

We are totally going to have a rule when we have more kids that if you aren't willing to do the same for all kids, then you don't get any of them at all..I was just talking about this with my MIL yesterday...she totally agrees, so hopefully I wont be dealing with this later on when we have more than one.

Some people can't get the money every 2 weeks, then put it in savings. Instead, the will spend it. So, when it's tax season, it's kinda like you put the money you earned into a savings account (I know, interest free), but still, it saved and not spent.

Mine is that I told work I had to leave work early today to get G because babysitter had to take her daughter to something...really I just want to get my running done and go to the hosp to see my friend and her new "big" man.
It's more fun to have differing opinions. Kinda like the UO yesterday. Action on the board!
But then the flamefull confessions turn lame like, I let my baby cry for 5 whole minutes yesterday.
Eh, 2 of mine were lame. I usually don't participate in UO or FFFC because I don't have anything other than my kid rolled pretty far underneath the bed in 3.5 seconds when I wasn't paying attention.

I'm super proud of DH and I for the size of a house down payment we have saved, our credit scores, the size of a home loan we qualify for, and the lender telling us that we are in way better shape than most of the people he sees apply lately. I can't go telling people this IRL or it might come across as gloating - but we have worked hard and sacrificed a lot to get where we are today and it makes me very happy. Now we get to enjoy the fact that we can be super picky about houses and only look at those in the best school districts, with no repairs/updates required, and with walking trails right near by.
We just got pre-approved for a loan yesterday and are looking at a house that we are pretty excited about tomorrow, so that is why this is on my mind:-)
Yep, but it is really my biggest pet peeve this time of year. Every year I hear it all the time IRL and on the computer and it drives me crazy. It's one of those things I could totally get on my soapbox about but I won't

It actually was not directed at you. I have been thinking this for months.
I honestly have nothing against people who try to BF and find that it doesn't work for them. No problems at all!! I would agree that in your case, BF wasn't right for you. BF-ing shouldn't make someone depressed. I am sure you are a better mother for stopping BF-ing, which I guess, is better for your baby in the long run.

I love when the discussions are heated. Difference of opinion makes the world go round. Keep it coming ladies!

I just think that people like to say BF-ing is not good for all babies as a way to justify their actions.
My apologies for assuming. Why is "I just don't want to" not a good enough reason? It's not like someone is saying, "I don't want to feed my kid"

My thing is - "I just don't want to" is absolutely good enough! My peeve is when people hide behind other reasons b/c they just won't say "I just don't want to". They say "it's too hard" when they tried for a day in the hospital or they try to say there's no diff btwn FF and BF, which studies have shown over and over that there most definitely is.

Yeah and I understand your pet peeve. A couple years ago we screwed up and ended up owing over 4K - but when we thought about it, this was a GOOD thing. We managed to pay off our debt entirely that year and therefore we ended up saving on interest. We were still able to pay in fine, but it was kind of like an interest free loan from the gov't to pay off our loans a bit quicker :-)
This year we owe again - I'm less thrilled but that's because we thought we had things figured out to where we would be even but it was an odd year income wise, and we did not plan correctly.
It's more fun to have differing opinions. Kinda like the UO yesterday. Action on the board!

Yup, I leave him on the floor in the same room with my dogs all the time! It seriously freaks the hell out of my parents and IL's...but I know my dogs, they seriously wouldn't hurt a fly....and my one dog won't roll over for many people, but always, always, always rolls over for kids under the age of 5...he knows he needs to just deal with it...(although we do not let kids be mean to them, and my child will be taught the right way to treat animals!)

Also, if anyone watched "up all night" last night, well, DH and I are totally like Reagan and her husband. 8 minutes later included.
Hm...let's see what I can come up with.
1. I don't think BFing is "the" best for baby. It's probably best for most babies but not all.
2. I am STILL wearing a nursing bra because I just haven't felt like getting resized with my new sucky saggy boobs.
3. Jason bumped his head twice yesterday, I panicked for a second each time but he didn't even cry.
I'm sure there are more.

I leave my baby unattended with my animals. Yup...indeed. I trust them with my life, so why wouldn't I trust them with his? We knew when we got our animals that there would be a baby in the picture some day. I've been pulling on their tails and ears since day 1. LO doing it is no different.
I love when the discussions are heated. Difference of opinion makes the world go round. Keep it coming ladies!
Totally didn't take any of this as flaming...
