Birthday Cake

My son's birthday party is on the 18th and I still haven't found a bakery. Seems everyone is either making cupcakes, are overpriced or just make basic cakes.

I'm making cupcakes myself so I can save some money there but I want a nice small cake for the top of the tower and for him to just make a mess with.

 Any suggestions?

    Where are you? In Kendall Moulin Rose is great, they're on Sunset and 100 something. If not, Publix makes pretty good cakes that aren't crazy expensive.

    I must say I have gotten some really great cakes from Publix...but if you are in boca/delray area I have a great place...Cakes by Ruthie

    look into misha's cupcakes. I ordered a cake for my baby shower there and it as not only much cheaper than other bakeries but also super delicious.
