TTC after 35

already out this cycle, but totally okay with it

I got a positive OPK this morning.  My husband is in DC for work -- a relatively short 2 hour train ride from me.  Still, I couldn't bring myself to get on the train after work, get into DC around 8:00, go to my husband's hotel, turn around and catch a 5 AM train tomorrow to get back to Philly to teach my 8:00 class.  Just the thought of it was exhausting.  Especially since it has only been about 52 hours since I got home from my last trip.

So, we will skip this cycle and -- if my husband gets the all clear from the urologist -- have our next IUI in March.  I have time to take my prenatals more religiously and keep up with the workouts.  Plus, I can watch Ringer from the comfort of my bed tonight.

  • You know. Even making the decision not to try a month gives me back some of the feeling of control. Enjoy your 2-3 weeks off from uncertainty (or obsessing if that is you.)

  • Enjoy your rest.  :-)

And drink lots of wine during what would have been your 2ww!

  • You made the right choice for you and that's what matters.  Enjoy your time and gear up for March!!
  • Enjoy your break and have a nice glass of wine!
