1st pregnancy: m/c began 1/12/09 d&c 1/13/09 8wks. Baby stopped growing at about 6wks.

1. What time did you go to bed last night? 11 (although I was ready to go to bed at 9:30 but I had to clean up the downstairs for playgroup this morning at 9)
2. If you could be given ANY gift what would it be? Somebody paying off my mortgage, that would be the absolute best gift ever!
3. What was the last film that really moved/disturbed/thrilled you and why? Hmm...I can't think of any, the last movie I saw was Abduction, the movie was pretty bad but the eye candy was good.
4. What is your favourite TV show of all time? Psych! That show cracks me up! And Gilmore Girls is another go-to show of mine.
5. What's your favourite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do? I love waking up and hearing Chloe talking in her crib. But those morning that hubby is still home and I wake up on my own and I'm able to cuddle with him for a little bit are priceless! First thing I do is snuggle into the blankets and pretend I don't have to get up.
6. What would you call yourself if you could choose your own name? Hmm...this is a tough one...how about super mom!
7. What's the worst/most embarassing CD/Album you've ever owned and do you still have it? Hansen! My friend convinced me to buy it I swear! No, I got ride of it probably 6 months later. I am not at all embarrassed about owning all of the Backstreet Boys cd's :-)
8. What would be your dream vehicle (bikes, cars, boats, batcar and millenium falcon are allowed!)? Millenium Falcom of course! Or a brand new Odyssey or Sienna (I have dreams about winning the lottery and running out to get a new minivan...lame)
9. What characteristics do you dislike in yourself? My inability to do anything for myself, if I actually took an hour each day to workout I wouldn't be so unhappy with my current weight...but I always find something else that needs to be done.
10. Your favourite item of clothing and why? Yoga pants!!
11. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with? I would love to go back to Russia and bring DH with me. Although an all-inclusive vaca somewhere in the Bahamas would also be wonderful.
12. If you could have any animal/creature, what would be your ultimate pet be? I would love a husky
13. What did you want to be when you were little and do you think you ever will be? I wanted to be a writer, I've written a few children books but I doubt I'll ever try to get them published, I just give them to friends.
14. What's the next planned event you're looking forward to in your life? It was going out to visit my parents in MA, but now that might not happen
15. What were you doing before you started this? Having lunch with Chloe, that girl ate two huge spoonfulls of black beans, 1/4 of a grilled cheese, half an eggroll (leftover from last night), 4 baby carrots, and a spoonful of peas...I don't know where it all goes...
16. What was the last thing you ate that you really shouldn't have? The bowl of Captain Crunch I just ate because I didn't feel like prepping the carrots and celery so I could eat them...lazy!

2. If you could be given ANY gift what would it be? at this point a minivan...but I wouldn't turn away a nice vacation with DH
3. What was the last film that really moved/disturbed/thrilled you and why? Movies don't really effect me but the last one that I was really moved by was Brokeback Mountain. Such a beautiful, tragic story.

5. What's your favourite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do? On my own! I'd kill for a day when I don't get woken up by DHs alarm or one of the kids. First thing I do is make coffee
6. What would you call yourself if you could choose your own name? I actually really like my name so I wouldn't change it
7. What's the worst/most embarassing CD/Album you've ever owned and do you still have it? There are a lot from the 80s that I can't believe I had. And I think I still have a Michael Bolton tape stashed somewhere in a box in the basement

9. What characteristics do you dislike in yourself? I tend to get really worked up over things but b/c I hate conflict I internalize most of it. I wish I could just say how I feel without worrying about hurting someone's feelings or causing a fight.

11. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with? Paris with DH

13. What did you want to be when you were little and do you think you ever will be? I always fluctuated between a nurse and teacher. At this point neither are options.
14. What's the next planned event you're looking forward to in your life? Our first real family vacation in September

5. What's your favourite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do? I like to wake up on my own. No alarm. Get a cup of coffee and just sit in bed for a while.
6. What would you call yourself if you could choose your own name? I have no idea. I think something less than ordinary.
7. What's the worst/most embarassing CD/Album you've ever owned and do you still have it? Fugazzi- Waiting Room. I actually still love it and would probably still play it if it wasn't a tape. The embarassing part is that I wanted to be this angry, edgy teen and I just didn't have the edge, to much of a people pleaser.
8. What would be your dream vehicle (bikes, cars, boats, batcar and millenium falcon are allowed!)? Jeep Wrangler. I had one loved it and hit a patch of black ice and totaled it. I miss it!
9. What characteristics do you dislike in yourself? I want to be able to stand up more for what I believe in. I am starting to, it's just taking a while.
10. Your favourite item of clothing and why? Jeans. I live in jeans. Most days jeans are acceptable at work and it just makes life easier.
11. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with? Alaska, with Kyle and a bunch of my old camp friends. Also the PNW. I have a ton a friends there.
12. If you could have any animal/creature, what would be your ultimate pet be? Sea Otters, They are just so funny to watch.
13. What did you want to be when you were little and do you think you ever will be? I wanted to be a teacher, until I realized that I was not cut out for the classroom. So now I teach outdoors. I am what I am supposed to be,
14. What's the next planned event you're looking forward to in your life? Jack's Birthday Party. I have been thinking a lot about why I am so excited for it. Our whole family is coming and I just really want to celebrate this little gift. Also becuase we will always be traveling for Holidays I want to make sure that there are some solid traditions in his life.
15. What were you doing before you started this? Writing contracts.
16. What was the last thing you ate that you really shouldn't have? I ate some cookies this AM. Definately not a part of the diet I am supposed to be on.

Hmmm, not a movie but a TV show, American Horror Story. it's so good and dark and creepy!

5. What's your favourite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do?
On my own (no alarm clock, husband playing guitar or baby crying) . First thing I do is say good morning to my hubby and snuggle.
6. What would you call yourself if you could choose your own name?
I've always liked the name Lane.
7. What's the worst/most embarassing CD/Album you've ever owned and do you still have it?
Vanilla Ice - To the Extreme, It's probably in a box in my parents' attic.

A RV with an unlimited tank of gas.

My insecurities about my post preg. body.

As of the moment, a knit hat that I bought while I was in NY last week.
11. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with?
Definetly my husband. Where to go would be a hard choice, as there is literally no place in the world I do not want to visit. Either someplace warm & tropical like Bali or maybe Belgium/Europe to tour some of our favorite breweries.
12. If you could have any animal/creature, what would be your ultimate pet be?
A horse, I miss riding.
13. What did you want to be when you were little and do you think you ever will be?
A scientist & probably not.
14. What's the next planned event you're looking forward to in your life?
A concert with DH, and Jack's first birthday!

Putting DS down for a nap.

10. Your favourite item of clothing and why? My grandma's nightgowns. I wear them every night. They are very extravagent like she was and I am the only girl on that side of the family that ended up built like her (short) so I inherited them. LOL

12. If you could have any animal/creature, what would be your ultimate pet be? Lop-eared bunny (indoors- house trained)
13. What did you want to be when you were little and do you think you ever will be? Archaeologist. I wanted to go treasure hunting.

Yay, Ladies! I read all of your answers during my pumping break, and now I get to have lunch after teaching all day, so I'll answer :-)
1. What time did you go to bed last night?
Midnight. But I'm going to finish grading this one class's papers tonight before I go to bed, no matter what.
2. If you could be given ANY gift what would it be?
If someone magically paid off my student loans ($56,000 to go; I'm halfway done!), or if they bought me a year of house-keeping service.
3. What was the last film that really moved/disturbed/thrilled you and why?
Shakespeare Behind Bars, about a group of inmates who put on one act of Hamlet per year. It's amazing how much you feel for the guys and then you hear about their crimes, and you're really conflicted. I teach/volunteer at the prison here, so I know what that's like.
4. What is your favourite TV show of all time?
I really, really liked The Wonder Years.
5. What's your favourite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do?
I like the natural sunlight and the sound of birds waking me up. Hopefully, I can experience this again over spring break :-) Depending on weather, the first thing I will do is go jogging.
6. What would you call yourself if you could choose your own name?
I used to want a less Jewish name, but I think I'm good with it now.
7. What's the worst/most embarassing CD/Album you've ever owned and do you still have it?
Omg. I owned all of the tapes of Europe (the band that did "The Final Countdown"); I owned some Air Supply. You know, all of the fun 1980s stuff.

Anything paid off and not falling apart :-) My 1996 Toyota Camry has some things that need fixing like broken door handles, etc., that are really starting to get embarrassing.
9. What characteristics do you dislike in yourself?
I'm not very disciplined; I get academically snobby.
10. Your favourite item of clothing and why?
My Merrill boots. They're *awesome* $300 boots that I got for $30 on eBay.
11. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with?
The British Isles with Jared & Liam. LOVE England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales but haven't been since 1999.
12. If you could have any animal/creature, what would be your ultimate pet be?
A horse...something a good size for me. Maybe an Arabian. I don't like to try to handle a "whole lotta horse" since I'm little.
13. What did you want to be when you were little and do you think you ever will be?
Ballerina. I got the minor in dance and seriously only need six more college credits to have a degree in it :-) But the average retirement age for a ballerina is 26, and I wasn't that good. (I was a choreography concentration, not performance.)
14. What's the next planned event you're looking forward to in your life?
My next book coming out. (I know. I need to finish writing it first. But it's so exciting when it happens.)
15. What were you doing before you started this?
Teaching two, two-hour back to back classes. Running around like a crazy woman picking up handouts, lecture notes, etc.
16. What was the last thing you ate that you really shouldn't have?
Dried fruit that had been in my desk drawer forever. It had added sugar, which is stupid and pointless for something that's supposed to be healthy.

4. What is your favourite TV show of all time? Hmm. I don't know. I really like Gilmore Girls, but I don't really watch TV so I don't exactly have a favorite.
5. What's your favourite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do? Snuggling with my kids and my husbey...first thing is to snuggle more and give everyone good morning kisses.

9. What characteristics do you dislike in yourself? I'm too impatient and can be judgmental. Physically I wish I had an easier time losing weight/being in shape, but I have my paternal grandmother's body type and it's a battle.
10. Your favourite item of clothing and why? I LOVE the touring dress DH got me for Christmas.
11. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with? I'd go with my husband to Ireland.

13. What did you want to be when you were little and do you think you ever will be? I wanted to be a doctor, but I realized a long time ago that I really just wanted to be a mom. I don't think I will ever go for that route, I'll stick to the science side of medicine.
14. What's the next planned event you're looking forward to in your life? Hmm...DH's 30th birthday party is coming up. That's pretty much it!
15. What were you doing before you started this? Putting off doing work and eating chocolate, and drinking Good Earth tea. YUM.

1. What time did you go to bed last night? 11ish
2. If you could be given ANY gift what would it be? A clean financial slate. Too much? A new car would be good, too.
3. What was the last film that really moved/disturbed/thrilled you and why? Black Swan was disturbing, as was Blue Valentine. I think what disturbed me the most was that, in both movies, the plot lines and characterizations seems exaggerated, but from some of the reviews of read, more people could relate to them than I would have predicted.
4. What is your favourite TV show of all time? I'm not good at picking favourites, but I do miss "Six Feet Under".
5. What's your favourite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do? I love waking up to Nora talking/cooing/laughing (as opposed to crying or fussing). Really, my FAVOURITE way to wake up is completely unprovoked after getting as much sleep as my body decided it needed, but I don't remember the last time that happened lol.
6. What would you call yourself if you could choose your own name? I like my name. When I was younger, I would have picked something trendy (and now dated) like Tiffany or Brittany. Now, I appreciate my classic name. If I *had* to choose something different, I would pick another classic name like Catherine or Elisabeth.
7. What's the worst/most embarassing CD/Album you've ever owned and do you still have it? Hmmm... I can't think of anything I am embarrassed to admit I owned, but I was big into late 80s pop. Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, NKOTB. I
8. What would be your dream vehicle (bikes, cars, boats, batcar and millenium falcon are allowed!)? Anything that I don't have to drive. I prefer the passenger seat.
9. What characteristics do you dislike in yourself? I'm a world-class procrastinator.
10. Your favourite item of clothing and why? Right now, I don't like how much of my clothes ftis, so I'll say my ballet flats. I bought some in sunshine yellow that get a lot of compliments.
11. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with? Seeing as how I haven't seen my family since July 2010, I'm going to go with Nova Scotia with DH and Nora.
12. If you could have any animal/creature, what would be your ultimate pet be? I'm a dog person. I have 3 and can't imagine not having dogs.
13. What did you want to be when you were little and do you think you ever will be? I decided I wanted to be a teacher when I was in the 5th grade, and I am. At one point, I aspired to be a singer/model/actress, but no, I know I will never be any of those things ha!
14. What's the next planned event you're looking forward to in your life? Nora's 1st birthday party.
15. What were you doing before you started this? Eating Fruit Loops.

5. What's your favorite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do? With a kid (or two) singing over the monitor and by my husband's cuddles. Enjoy it.

3. What was the last film that really moved/disturbed/thrilled you and why? "Midnight in Paris." I love Woody Allen and the roaring twenties. It was a fantastical dream. Loved it.
4. What is your favourite TV show of all time? Northern Exposure, hands down.
5. What's your favourite way to wake up and what's the first thing you do? When my body tells me I've had enough sleep, I go downstairs to make coffee and watch my husband and daughter play.
6. What would you call yourself if you could choose your own name? I really like my own name but think Emilia is pretty and could probably work that name. LOL.
7. What's the worst/most embarassing CD/Album you've ever owned and do you still have it? Anything I've ever purchased at Starbucks, early years.
8. What would be your dream vehicle (bikes, cars, boats, batcar and millenium falcon are allowed!)? I like the old school, army green Jeeps. Looks fun to drive even though I'm not much of a driver.

11. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would it be and who would it be with? I really want to go to Patagonia with hubby.
