GTKY - Your song/wedding song

What is your and your DH/SO song? Did you dance to "your song" at your wedding or a different song? If a different song, what was it?

DH and my song is "I'll Be The Greatest Fan Of Your Life" by Edwin McCaine. I wanted to use that song for our slideshow, so we danced to "When I Look Into Your Eyes" by Firehouse.

    We danced to Avett Brothers Swept Away (Sentimental Version)... but the song we were most excited to hear and dance to was Slow Show by The National.  We went back and forth between these two songs for our first dance...

    I wanted Safety Dance by Men Without Hats for our dance but our band didn't know it. I think we danced to Fever instead but I can't remember. I would consider Swing Life Away by Rise Against to be our song, that's what I walked down the aisle to.

    We have many songs. But these 2 make me tear up as soon as I hear them. Our first song we danced to ever was "Faithfully" by Journey. Our wedding song was "My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw.

    We took lessons for and danced to Lucky in Love by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. Our other song was Listen to Your Heart by Roxette so our bridal party danced to that.

    We danced to a song by Smashing Pumpkins called To Sheila at our wedding.

    Our "song" I Want To Know Your Plans by Say Anything. Also kind of Death Cab for Cutie's I Will Follow You Into the Dark. We wanted to dance to this but Josh's family is SUPER religious and I was worried it would offend people but maybe I was just being over sensitive. We had it played later in the night when people were less likely to pay attention to the lyrics. Not that it's really that bad but it just doesn't stand by DH's mother's religious beliefs and we try to respect them. 

    Born at 26 weeks 2 days gestation, 2 pounds 2 ounces due to IC/PTL,
    and after 82 days in the NICU, our little girl is home!

    Our song is Stingy by Ginuwine, and I have no idea how that even came about. I think I sang it to him when we first started dating, and it just kind of stuck.

    We danced at our wedding to For You by Kenny Lattimore. Love that song!

    Wedding song was crazy love by Van Morrison.

    Our "song" besides that would be Eddie Vedder's hard Sun. Also, DMB's Write a Song.

    Our song while dating was "End of Heartache" by Killswitch Engage (we had a long distance relationship) but it doesn't make a very good wedding song, lol...

    I walked in to an acoustic guitar version of "All I Ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera, and we walked out to "I Want to Hold Your Hand" by the Beatles. We didn't have a first dance because we both have too much social anxiety!

    We danced to Viva Las Vegas, I think, or maybe Love Me Tender, or some other Elvis song we can't remember.  We had a Vegas wedding and my mom surprised us with Elvis at our reception at he bowling ally. 

    I'd say our song, as sad as it sounds, is Anyone Else But You by the Moldy Peaches.

    I'd like to think our song is "There's No Way" by Alabama. 

    We didn't dance at our wedding since it was so small and DH doesn't like dancing or being the center of attention.

    Our first dance was "I want to grow old with you" from the movie the Wedding Singer. I love the lyrics to that song. I guess our song has to be "Best Friend" by Weezer. We actually danced to that song last at our wedding.

     Our first dance song was "My best friend" by Tim McGraw which is also "our song". My guardian angel by Red jumpsuit is our second song ;)

    We did our first dance to "only with you" by Roy Orbison. We walked down the aisle to Pink's "glitter in the air" which stil makes me tear up.

    Our wedding song was 'I cross my heart' by George Strait which was played during the ceremony and we danced to that and Celine Dion's "because you loved me" but our 'fun' song is "Going to Jackson" by johnny cash and June carter lol. It's kinda the opposite of romantic but we used to have a ball singing it when we would go driving so it stuck lol. We still sing it and when we get aggravated with each other, we always say "Im going to Jackson" as a sort of playful way to say 'pull your head outta your a**' lol... kinda carried over into our new sons name as well lol

    We danced to Jason Mraz "I'm Yours" for our first dance.  We had a whole Ipod of songs that we listened to the day of and a few minutes before the wedding we decided all of our songs - what I was walking down the aisle to, back up the aisle and our 1st dance :)  Nothing like waiting until the last minute!

    We danced to Adele's version of "Make You Feel My Love", but the closest thing we have to "our song" is the Killers "Change Your Mind".  Another song that makes me think of DH is Ingrid Michaelson's "They Way I Am".
