This was part of Alexis' homework last week Her teacher paper clipped a baggy to her homework and told us to fill it with 100 of something. We did googly eyes.
We used different colored paperclips linked together and glued to a poster board in the shape of a ferris wheel. They also brought in 100 of some small snack to mix together for a class trail mix.
I let DD pick out things from the art cabinet. She used stickers, pom poms, and stamps for the most part. She grouped them in groups of 10, to make it easier for her to count. She had to put them on a cardboard crown.
Joey (well, Joe! LOL) is building a car out of 100 pencils. They are 54 pencils in and the car is almost done so I went today for another set of wheels. The car will now have a trailer!
You can buy 100 popsicle sticks and have her make something with them (a house with a garage, for example).
100 pom poms (you know, those little fuzzy balls of different colors) and have her glue them to a paper in a design.
Claire used 100 mini marshmallows and glued them to poster board in the shape of icing. We punched a red circle as the cherry and cut a rectangle out of brown paper. She made a cupcake.
For DS1 his project had to be on poster board and in 10 rows of 10. He is really into dinosaurs so we printed out 10 different dinosaurs (10 of each one obviously) and helped him glue them on.
DS is in 1st grade but he had to do it again. He choose to do 100 word on poster board (I really hope there are 100 word on there, there wasn't really method to his madness to make it easy to count).
DS had to do 2 different ones, so he filled a brown paper bag with something to share with the class, he chose M&M's , the other he had to glue 100 of anything he wanted on a sheet of card stock, he chose, Pennies, beans and cotton balls , very random but that's what he wanted,
Ours wasn't super creative, but DS did the whole thing himself so I think that's something, lol. He got a Melissa & Doug Dinosaur stamp set for Christmas so he used that to stamp 100 dinosaurs on a t-shirt. Some folks I know had their kids dress up like they we 100 years old, someone glued 100 pompoms and used them as gumballs in a gumball machine, another put 100 goldfish in a goldfish bowl, and there was 100 paw prints painted on a shirt. Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
For the 100th day of preschool, I drew a saguaro cactus on a poster board, DD painted it and then she glued on 100 toothpicks for the spines.
Other cute ideas in her class were a drawing of a gumball machine with 100 candies glued on, and a drawing of a popcorn box with 100 pieces of popcorn glued on.

For K last year we did 100 neon eraser caps. they were great, due to being easy for him to handle. 100 small items to count with fine motor difficulty was a challenge but we figured it out.
Landon had to make a poster of 100 "things" so we did 10 of 10 favorite smallish toys and other things he likes. He helped me glue them to the bored spelling his name out with the items. Then I wrote Hip Hip hooray its the 100th Day in pencil and he traced over it in Marker. Then I erased the pencil marks.
It turned out really cute.
The girls 100th day is Wednesday but on word on a project. I have been thinking of ideas but now dont have to help them do anything. Im going to make them a shirt I think. I made them one for a Valentines day dance and have some extra material.
ETA: Here is a picture of it all finished. We put 10 water balloons around the edge.
Ethan just finished his about an hour ago--our celebration is tomorrow; we bought a big bucket of beads and packages of shoe laces & made 20 necklaces w/ 5 beads each; one for each classmate & his teachers. It was fun! :-)
We just finished ours today. They requested that we not use food so we went with stickers, pom poms, and these gem looking things in groups of ten. Basically we went with whatever we had in the art box that was her favorite colors pink, and purple.

I was boring too and did lima beans.

We blew up 100 balloons (the tiny water balloons,) attached them to the paper and made a dart out of construction paper to look like the fair game.
We had to do 10 groups of ten.
We did acorns, leaves, paper clips, stickers, buttons, cottonballs, stamps, beads, goldfish and fruitloops.
For the 100th day of preschool, I drew a saguaro cactus on a poster board, DD painted it and then she glued on 100 toothpicks for the spines.
