Summer daycare for 18 month old?

A will be 18 months in May.  I am pulling her out of her current daycare because it's awful, but the new daycare I have chosen won't have an opening until September.  SO, does anyone know of a south or centrally located daycare that would take an 18 month old for the summer?

On a related note: Is it horribly traumatic to switch daycares twice in the summer?  She'd go to a new one at the beginning of the summer and her new perm one at the end.

  • You know where I send Gracie, right? They have programs for 18 mos.+ for the summer. They are currently enrolling for those slots.

  • Thanks, but I need an all day gig.  Those are just half day, right?

Oh ya, there's that. Sorry, that won't work for you then.

  • What about having a college student nanny for you?  I nannied one summer when I was in high school.  (In retrospect, I'm not sure if I'd recommend getting a 16 year old nanny though...)

ETA: Or a teacher?  I used to teach summer school so we could travel/ remodel.  I would much rather have nannied than babysit, uh, I mean teach delinquent 14 year olds.
