C-sections

does pregnancy after a csecion feel different?

I'm just barely pregnant (found out on friday) but i'm starting to feel things move and *** around in there.  It's similiar to what I felt early on with my last pregnancy, but I'm also starting to feel pains simliar to what I felt as my c-section was healing.  I was told it was the nerve endings growing back.

just wanted to make sure that it's normal to feel these pains.

  • I didn't notice anything feeling different with #2, or with this one, #3 and I have had 2 c-sections.

  • I had a lot more cramping in early pregnancy but now it's exactly the same as my first.

  • I have had quite a bit more pain this time around.  It's mostly located around my c/s scar.  The dr said this is normal.  It is just the scar tissue trying to stretch.

  • I had some mild discomfort around my incision during first trimester. I asked my dr at my 8 week checkup and he said it was normal.

I had very intense pain around my incision area in both pregnancies with DS2 and DS3 (much worse with DS3 - often to the point where I couldn't walk more than 20 feet or so).  My ob told me after my sections that I had virtually no scar tissue so I'm not convinced the pain is connected to scar tissue stretching, although I do hear that a lot on this board.

Pain was gone right after delivery.  In fact, I had totally forgotten about it until someone asked me about it!

  • Is the very beginning my c/s scar area was a little tender, then it was fone as the weeks went on.  Now it hurts again when you touch it if it's more than just a light brush.  DS is good for giving it hard pokes when he wants to get picked up and an u/s at the hospital yesterday was actually kinda painful every time the doctor went over the scar.  I could definitely tell the difference between  when he was over regular skin and when he was over the old incision.  Other than that, nothing has been different pregnancy wise for me.

  • I am more achy with this pregnancy, but I think a lot of it is because the baby is sitting lower than DD ever did.
