Do you mix the melatonin in with anything when you give it to him? The doc said they usually come in 5-10mg tabs and to crush it and mix it with something-just trying to think of what I can give her that I know she'll suck down before bedtime!

    You can find it in tablets in 1mg, 3 mg doses and up, 3mg is easier to find than the 1mg.  I break the 3mg tablets in half, they aren't always exactly half, on days he is more tired I give him a smaller half and on days he is more wired I give him a bigger half.  We crush the tablet with two spoons then mix it with something sticky sweet.  Like honey, carmel syrup, chocolate syrup or other ice cream syrup toppers.  It doesn't take much, we use a small teaspoon side dinner spoon and put a drop of syrup that covers about 1/3 of the spoon and mix it with the tip of the other spoon.  It is giving him sugar, but it isn't much and being sweet and sticky we know he is going to consume the entire dose, plus he looks forward to it that much more.
