If you don't mind, tell me about sending RB to school the week she potty trained. Did she wear regular undies? Did you first transition with cloth training pants? Did you just send a sh!tload of clothes to school and hope for the best?
JB used the potty all weekend (except when we were out running errands). At home I just left her in cloth training pants and made sure she had free access to the bathroom. However with today being her first real PTing day at school I thought I should leave her in diapers and let the teachers take her to the potty every hour (or if she asked). My reasoning is that if most of her diapers are dry today (and maybe tomorrow) then by the end of the week I can just put her in the cloth training pants and send her with tons of back up clothes.
I'm not certain there is one right way to do this, but what are your thoughts?
Re: **CT**
I actually just asked you about this in the weekend thread
We really let school decide what they were comfortable with and their philosophy is to go all in. On monday of that week we sent her in diapers, because we hadnt really talked to them about it. She still used the potty that day and it didnt seem to confuse her. But at the end of the day, they encouraged us to just go for it so from that day forward we sent her in undies and packed a bunch of changes of clothes (and a back up pair of shoes). That first week she had one or two accidents each day but by the second and third week, accidents were more the exception than the norm. We never used the cloth trainers so i'm not sure how I would have factored those in if I had.
go JB!! super exciting!!
