Prepping hemp inserts ?

I have two Thirsties hemp inserts that I need to prep, but I think I read somewhere that they need to be prepped seperately from your cotton inserts. I really don't want to/can't run a load with just two inserts in it, so what would you recommend for prepping them? TIA!

I have always just put mine in with my regular diaper load. I didn't know they had to be done by themselves.

If stuff is new, you should wash it once NOT with your diapers. You could throw them in with towels, or if you want them to be ready to roll, boil them in a pot of water for 30 minutes (assuming they don't have elastic or snaps).

Boil them for 20 min on a low boil in a big pot. Do a long hot wash right after with no detergent, then dry on hot. Instant prep!

Ditto the boiling - I didn't put anything in the pot with them beyond water, just boiled for about 20 minutes. I also washed & dried them twice with towels (I use Charlie's Soap with all of my laundry) just to get them a little further on with absorbency.
