RLP...Oweee!

Oh boy! I'm a first time mom and today was my first experience with round ligament pain. :( I felt like I was being stabbed in my lower right ovary several times for atleast a hour. Worried of course, I checked for bleeding and thankfully there was none! No other symptoms occured either. Whew! I feel like I worry so much, not what you expect when you meet a pregnant person. Noone ever tells you the bad stuff. I spoke w my mother in-law that also said she got it when she was pregnant around the same growth period that I am in. I look forward to having all of these crazy symptoms subside and meeting my little one! All I can do is hope and pray that all will continue to go well.

    I have to agree....there are a number of things you don't learn about pregnancy until you get there!  I didn't know a thing about RLP until I was about as far along as you are.  I called my OB and the midwife there explained it to me, which made me feel better, but it still hurt!  So far the worst has been when I am sick and coughing so much that I get a terrible pulling pain on both sides.  I keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end when I have my little girl in my arms!  Best wishes!
