Short backstory: I work in a hospital in their billing office. My job is to bill Medicare outpatient claims but there are 6-7 other people who have their particular claims to bill and so forth. I have one coworker who I swear must be bipolar or something (not trying to be mean, it's just her moods are so back and forth it's unreal). I do an extra job in this office and in order for it to be done everyone has to finish their morning work. And it's sort of an unwritten rule that you finish this work before you go to lunch. Because I have to do the other piece and until I do mine the people upstairs can't do theirs and so forth...domino effect!!
Lately this chick has been throwing attitude around and also leaving for lunch before her work is done. Well today I snapped (it's Friday and I don't wanna be here). She went off to lunch without telling me if she was done or not. I have her phone number so I texted her. She tells me she's not done yet. So this means I have to wait till she comes back from her 45 minute lunch, wait for her to finish and then do my stuff before I can go to lunch. Not impressed.
So being the hormonal b**** that I am I went and spoke to our supervisor. Told her the crap needs to stop. Everyone else can finish before lunch. Why not her!! There are people who leave early on Fridays and they can't until I'm done my piece, which I can't do until she's done hers.
Well, I find out I'm not the only one having issues with this girl, and my sup asked me to email her my issue so she has documentation.
Re: I've become the office bad guy!!
Two things -
1) your new pic is awesome!
2) you are not the bad guy. The brat who can't do her job is.
Phone wouldn't let me continue....
I hate being the bad guy but something needed to be done. I guess my supervisor is collecting all kinds of things to use against her. At least that's what I gathered from my mini meeting with her
Is Friday over yet? I've eaten a ton of chocolate and I wanna go home.
Her behavior needs to be documented and disciplined.
COME ON QUITTING TIME!
This. And I'm willing to bet your boss and other colleagues would agree.
