Cloth Diapering

So irritated with my dryer balls

I would assume this happens for everyone, but my balls get lost in my clothes and then I have to spend 5 minutes after every load looking for the balls for the next load to be dried.

Any solution suggestions?  I know it doesn't seem like a big deal....I guess pregnancy hormones are making it HUGE in my mind.

Re: So irritated with my dryer balls

  • Not really a solution for that unfortunately. You want it to bounce around in your clothes, so to put it in a stationary position would defeat the purpose. Sorry.

  • I have 2 sets of dryer balls because my DH won't pull them out of his clothes in a timely fashion.

When I fold the load that came out of the dryer I put them in a small bin on the shelf above the dryer, and just rotate with each load.

  • Lol!  Dryer ball hide and seek is not fun.  We have 4 wool ones and it's amazing how they get wedged into some clothes.  I now very carefully molest each big article of clothing to feel for the balls otherwise then it's a game of digging through the clean clothes for them.  Though they are warm so it does feel nice!

  • LOL! I have the same problem. I find them in the craziest places. One time one made it's way in to one of DH's socks. I was like, "WTF?!" when I was folding laundry.
