My 5 month old son Jonathan ended up having to have an NG tube placed Friday. I am doing everything I can to get rid of his feeding aversion that started after switching from breast to Neocate formula because of his allergies and an elimination diet not helping. He has a complete aversion to the bottle and it seems also to sippy cups. He doesn't mind putting toys or his hands in his mouth so it doesn't seem like a complete oral aversion, only a feeding one. I have already flavored the terrible neocate with flavoring which completely masks the taste so he doesn't mind the taste anymore (he will take it from a spoon). Anyone have any experience with this? I have seen so many different doctors and specialists and therapists and nothing has helped. I am desperate and I would trust any mom who has been through this before I will listen to another healthcare person who has led me from bad to worse each time (And I am a physical therapist and I'm fed up with the medical community!). Anyways, does anyone have any tips? I am not using the NG during the day, only at night.

Re: Fighting feeding aversion
This might be a really dumb question - but why not spoon feed him? Or have you tried a cup?
My lo refused a bottle and sippy when I was at work. Dh had to feed her with a cup, starting at about four months. It was messy - or so he told me - but it was the only way he could get her to take anything.
When she was older she would drink from a sippy, but still preferred a cup.
Some moms have had luck with different types of nipples on the bottle, but we never tried.
Good luck!
