Do you know how difficult it is to find one of those? Destination Maternity doesn't have even one plus sized dress, let alone anything formal. (Grr!) I found a website called Mommy-licious, that has plus sized maternity dresses... but almost all of them have only one shoulder strap or a low back. I need to wear a bra. Hello, the girls are going to need support!
I think I am going to have to go to David's bridal and try to find something off the rack. DH thought that getting dressed up for this event would be fun for me, but honestly shopping for a dress is making me feel like crap.
Re: Need a plus sized Maternity Formal Dress... whine
Oh no
Have you tried looking at Nordstroms (esp The Rack) or JCP? They might not have maternity gowns but you might find something that fits regardless & is cheaper than Davids!
huh, really? I could have sworn that I saw plus sized fancy dresses @ Motherhood when I was PG.
You know you could probably just get a bigger regular dress and have it tailored down. How formal does this need to be?
Oh no...
If you want to come down to my neck of the woods, Pea in the Pod at the Galleria is pretty fabulous. Can be pricey but sometimes you need a little splurge.
The Macy's here also has a pretty great maternity section with more reasonable prices.

@Kathryn- very formal, DH is wearing his tux.
@Rags- A Pea in the Pod was the first place I looked. On the Destination Maternity site the largest size APitP size they offered a Large! I need a 2x. I'd be willing to travel for a place where I can actually try things on.
you know people will cut you all kinds of slack since you are PG and seriously who wants to spend alot on a fancy maternity dress? I would probably just get a 2x/3x black dress and then tailor it down to what you need and bling yourself out w/ jewelry and shoes.
I have a few formal dresses too that may work (18+), I can go through my closet and send you a message on FB.
I also agree with Kathryn- go to Dress Barn or Macy's and look at the actual plus stuff. Order it a size up and then get it taken in at the tailors. I bet you could find something fine. And she's right- you do get away with being less formal because you are pregnant.
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
Thanks you guys!
