I really like Julia. Its one of our top two names for a girl. I think its a beautiful and classy name that will age well. Our other favorite is Victoria.
It's pretty. A little boring and "safe," for my taste, but still definitely a lovely choice. I'm a bigger fan of the Italian spelling (Giulia), but I don't know that I'd suggest it if neither you nor your H are the least bit Italian.
That's my name, so I'm biased, but I do love it:) It's only slightly annoying to correct everyone who assumes I'm 'Julie' instead of 'Julia'. And yes---the Wedding Singer jokes are sort of fun (hence The Bump name), too.
