I'm just glad he got to meet the twins. He really got to know them - my parents have been babysitting the boys 3 days a week since they were 4 months old. They loved him, and he loved them! It will be a tough adjustment for them, too, even though they are too young to understand what is going on - they will definitely know he's gone and miss him.

I am so sorry for your loss. We lost my FIL this exact same way a year ago, when we starting our first IVF cycle. It is just awful. Sympathies and huge hugs to you and your family.

We lost my dad three years ago at 65 due to complications from open-heart surgery and while it is still very hard at times, I can say that it does get easier.
