I am still learning the ins and outs of this whole cloth diapering thing and I'm sure I'll still be learning long after baby gets here but my question right now is about laindry soap.
I have started making my own laundry soap and was wondering if it was safe to use on the cloth diapers? (the recipe I use is fels naptha, washing soda and borax) I looked on the faq page and only saw listings for store bought detergents.
Thanks!
Re: Laundry detergent question
The fels naptha is not - it will tend to build up and cause repelling.
The cloth-safe recipe is 2 parts washing soda, 2 parts borax, 1 part oxiclean.

Thanks! Is it just those 3 things mixed together and left in powder form? I will pick up some oxyclean next time I'm out and make a separate little container for cloth diaper detergent
ETA: also, because I'm feeling dumb, do you mean it would be like 2 cups of washing soda, 2 cups borax and 1 cup oxyclean? And how much is needed per load?

Yes, just those things in powder. You can mix it by cups or by boxes/oz. How much varies by water and washer, but I use about 2Tbsp in my HE washer when I use it alone.
