We saw our fourth RE yesterday and finally found our doctor.
To recap/review:
RE #1 had a horrible staff who refused to let me speak to him or even get an appointment with him. They once said they were too busy to monitor me on Femara + shots, so I had to see my ob-gyn for an u/s. I used to take Xanax before calling the nurse because I was so dreading contact with them.
RE #2 got me through my m/c and was fine, if a bit pushy. He refused to do anything but IVF with us, even though we said it was not an option.
RE #3 was great, very holistic, encouraging, and her approach worked well for us. But she is known for looong waits (we waited almost 3 hours) and she's an hour away, and we found out after our consultation that she's out of our insurance network.
RE #4 was perfect. Patient, respectful of where we are and what we think, holistic (she brought up weight loss, acupuncture, yoga, therapy, and mediation), and concerned about how hard it is to go through repeated treatments and m/c. She took our needs and wants into consideration and was flexible with treatment plans. She's ~45 minutes away and in our network. Turns out she used to be RE #3's partner!
I am really sad and angry that we wasted so much time with RE #1, but trying not to dwell on it. And we're both really happy to have found just the right doctor for us, at last.

Thanks for sharing this info! We are with Dr. Gago and happy but I hear ya on the long waits. For our first consultation, we waited nearly 4 hours to see her. After that, I learned to bring snacks . It has never been that bad since then. Normally I am in and out. They were just having a crazy day. Good to know that you liked Dr. Fisseha. If we did decide to switch, that would be one of our options. I love my acupuncturist in Ann Arbor, let me know if you want the info although I would imagine you would want to go somewhere closer to home if you were able to. Good luck!
