Question from a first time mom

So I am 18 weeks along, and very confused. I have been for about the last week feeling this bumping feeling in my lower abdomen. I am not sure if this is baby, but occasionally my husband can feel this bumping if he has his hand on my stomach. Could this be baby? The only reason I am doubting that it is, is because this bumping is almost always in the exact same spot, and if it isn't in the exact spot it is within an inch. It is always in the lower right hand side of my abdomen.

I don't believe that I have experienced the flutters anyone talks about, I haven't had an ultrasound to check and make sure there aren't two or that if I have one it isn't a giant baby.

But would it be normal for all of baby's movements to concentrate in one area? any help would be welcome, because I am very confused.

When i feel baby it's more a tapping then a flutter, but i havent been able to catch it to see if it can be felt from the outside yet. It would make sense to me that baby might have a preference or a comfy spot in there, so it's possible that you'd feel it in the same spot. That's not a scientific answer by any means, just my brain gears turning haha

I think it very well could be the baby. I always felt my babies start to kick and move around 18 weeks. I rarely felt those flutters, either. I kind of went from feeling nothing to feeling little kicks. And the fact that it is in the same spot makes sense - baby isn't very big yet!

I'm right there with you. I don't really have that "fish flopping" feeling that everybody talks about, but I get what feels like little kicks, or almost as if the baby is moving or bumping up against me. Like my uterus is contracting or settling in that area, but there is no pain, so I feel like that has to be the baby. It happens especially after I have something sort of sugary. I think its going to be a little different for all of us, so I'm sure what you are feeling is the baby.
