Just popping in to AW the newest guy in my life, Desmond Thomas:

Thanks for all the no-baby-in-the-car-dust and the well wishes! Labor and delivery were pretty darn quick (~8 hours from the OB sweeping my membranes to birth) and easy (5 pushes, no tearing, woo hoo!!). He weighed in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. and 21.5". At that size, I'm so glad he ended up coming a week early! We're all home now and doing great! Big brother seems to be adjusting well. In fact last night he started singing, "Baby Desmond, baby Desmond I love you!" Melted my already mushy heart.
