How long does it take for a dang tooth to break gum?!

I feel like it's been sitting in the same position for 5 days and DD's second tooth just won't break through and is causing her so much trouble! The first one just seemed to pop up one day!

    I feel your pain.  A couple of DS's have been that way too.

    At his six month appointment, DS's pediatrician said that his two bottom front teeth were so close to coming through that he's probably have teeth by the time I got him home.

    That was last Tuesday! Big Smile And he has had a major crank the past couple of nights.

    I don't know! None of my LO's have come through yet! I feel like he's been teething for months. Also BTW, how do you know if nighttime problems are teething related? I'm just curious because we've had a really rough week and I'm wondering if it is teething.

    My friend is having the same issue! Her DDs 2 bottom teeth have been bulging under the gum for weeks and wont break through!

    DD just got her first break through last week, I didn't know it was close to coming there were no signs of it just all of a sudden it really hurt when she chewed my finger lol

    Seemed like DS chewed and drooled for over a month before the bottom two popped up around  5 months old.

    I say so! My son seemed to be teething forever, and the pedi even said his teeth would come through any day, and we didn't seem them for a month! And that whole month was the worst sleep I've ever had... he was waking up 4 or 5 times a night. Ever since his second bottom tooth came through (a couple days after the first) he has been sleeping AMAZING. We had tried CIO while he was teething and it was a disaster, but the first night we tried it after the teeth came through, he didn't even cry when I put him down awake... just rolled over and went to sleep. It's been like that since. I can't say for sure the sleep and teething were related, but based on my experience, I'd say they were! Hang in there!
