  frontloaders whirpool duet.  Love them and love the pedestals that have extra storage.  If you get a front loader, pay the extra and get the pedestals otherwise they are quite low and hurt your back from bending over so much.  My friend who didn't have the pedestals gave me this great advice.

  That is great to know, but I am not even 5 feet tall so I dont know if it would even be an issue. I have a bigger problem reaching into the bottom of our washer. getting small things like socks out really sucks because i can hardly reach.

  I don't have a recommendation, but I did want to chime in and say that I will NEVER buy another front loader. We have a Bosch washer dryer set and I'm generally a huge fan of their appliances but I think this is a front loader problem, not a Bosch specific problem. The inner ring is just covered in mold--we had it replaced and the tech informed me at the time that I needed to be cleaning the ring/seal and completely drying it and leaving the washer door open when it's not in use.....after every.single.load.

  NO thank you! I don't have the time to do that, nor is our laundry room set up for me to leave the washer door open without people running into it and having to close it to get out to the garage. I'll just be getting a good top loader next time.
