We didn't tell. . .

So, DH and I hashed out our decision to tell our parents and decided that we didn't want to risk our news getting out to everyone when we aren't ready for it. With our parents excitement, we know they won't be able to NOT tell some people. And you know how that goes . . . they tell one person, who tells one person, who tells one person and then all of the sudden my whole (huge) family knows and I'm getting Congratulations on my facebook page. 

 

So, we are going to wait until we at least see the babe on ultrasound before we tell them.

TTC since 2004
DX: Azoospermia
3 unmedicated IUI's, 1 with Clomid - all unsuccessful. Moving on to DIVF #1-BFP 5dp5dt!!! 1st Beta 1/23- 269!! Beta #2 1/26 - 882!!! Beta #3 1/30- 4,250!!! 1st ultrasound 2/10 showed TWINS!!! Found out on May 2nd we are having BOYS!

    I understand your wishes. It is hard to hold secrets (especially for exciting news). We are waiting here (baby #4 for us) b/c of a loss we suffered between baby #2 & #3. It happened at 12wks after we had shared the news with the whole world. While the support after was nice I would rather just had a few close friends know rather than have to explain to every curious party how I was feeling. GL with it!!! You willl know when the time is right for you!

    It's hard to keep happy news but I keep telling MH that his mom would tell the whole wide world. He agreed with me so we are waiting.

    It is so hard not to spill the beans. DH and I decided we would tell family at 6 weeks and work friends after the first u/s. I hope the next 4 weeks go fast!

    We just told our parents this afternoon. I'm hoping my stepdad and my DH's dad can keep it a secret! Sometimes men are worse than women, ha ha!

    My mom who loves both of my sons had an extremely negative reaction to my pregnancy with my second son. She thought we were in over our heads bc the boys are only 18 months apart. Sooo since I will forever remember her comment, we are waiting and telling everyone after we hit 12 weeks bc I don't think we could tell some people without telling her also.
