trying to explain things to DH...

DH is having a cow because our sex life has taken a tumble. I have been super sick and those times he is understanding but otherwise he is like "come on!". So I just tried to explain to him how I have absolutely no interest in and am even a little weirded out by anything sexual right now. Idk if its my hormones or what but I am just not interested. I also don't feel appealing. Anyone else having these troubles already?

He is completely understanding as I am so sick! He better be, at 20 weeks and beyond I am not allowed to have intercourse being high risk with twins.

yes, absolutely. i have zero desire to do anything down that road right now, and i wish DH was more understanding. i get he has needs too, but when i'm feeling fat and sick all day long it's the last thing i want. sometimes i'll just suck it up and do it, or at least something else to get him off my back for a week, lol.

He told me while ago a hand would be good enough, just something lol. I suggested medication OPPOSITE of viagra. I mean jeez!

MH was reading over my shoulder when I read this and he said, "Tell him to take care of himself"

Of course, yesterday was one of our first romps in the hay in a few weeks so I htink he's feeling more understanding. I try to take advantage of my good days and there have been more of them lately but I still feel guilty about how infrequently I am in the mood.

Oh he has been taking care of himself. He just misses his wife. This pregnancy has been really rough, I slept on the couch last night bc it was more comfortable than bed (again, already!). I just want him to realize its hard on me to not be able to make him happy too. Hopefully I will be rewarded with the 2nd tri honeymoon phase and we will both get some relief from this tough pregnancy.

I feel bad for my DH as well bc my desire is shot. I have been able to muster up the energy for once a week and he doesn't complain.

My fianc? takes care of himself. Lol luckily, he is in his 40's and has lots of friends who have prepared him with what to expect and not expect. I do feel bad, but my desire is non existent. I feel so sick and weak...sex is the last thing on my mind. I hope to make it up to him soon!

Luckily mine's understanding too. He takes care of himself. He actually has no interest in doing the deed if I'm hobbling around throwing up. Not sexy! Although we talk about how we can't wait till i feel better! Wink

i'm kinda having the opposite issue. DH has been working through something or the other, and i think we've had sex all of 3 or 4 times sence getting prego. last week at least he was sick, but the vivid dreams are starting to get to me at this point.

Without being super nosey, are you high risk just because you are pregnant with twins? Or do other factors make you high risk? Because when I was pg with my boys, I was never told that I wasn't allowed to have sex.

Yeah, I have been bleeding since week 7 so its been about 5 weeks since H had any. We only had sex maybe 3 times between my BFP and then so poor guy is reallly deprived. I am not sure when we will get to enjoy each others company again, but luckily he is being fantastic about it, so understanding and sweet. I has this fear that even after the bleeding stops we will both be to nervous to do it.
