Question from 2nd time mom, BF with implants

Hi Ladies....i have been most just reading and absorbing the advice on this board.  Let me start out by saying that i have implants with the incision through the nipple.  I was so worried for years that i would not be able to BF because of my nerve sensations, but luckily everything came in and seemed to work good with DS, but i gave up after 4 days. :( That decision has haunted me for awhile, but i did what i had to do at the time.

Now with this one, i really want to focus on learning how to BF and trying my best to stick with it. Im not sure if my surgery has anything to do with it, but when i tried to BF in the hospital, it hurt so bad i cried everytime.  it felt like an electric shock going through my whole chest.

Does anyone have any good stories to share about BF with implants? :)  Im focused and ready to do it this time....

    I don't have implants, but as a new mom I know how hard it is to get BFing off to a good start even without any issues like that, so good luck to you and just keep telling yourself that you will do it this time and it is what is best for your baby!

    I have them.  But, I also have an incision underneath the breast.  I did have some problems with engorgement.  It was almost like that 'capsular contracture'..they got so hard like boulders!

    I don't have them but wanted to let you know that I also was crying every time I BF due to the pain.  I think it's a nipple thing - not an implant thing.  I ended up pushing through the pain and it honestly subsided after 2 weeks or so.  But I clearly remember sitting in the hospital bed sobbing while getting him to latch because it just hurt so damn bad!  On the bright side, I don't feel the slightest bit of pain now (and really haven't since like 4 weeks).  That is, except for when he bites ;-)

    Yes I am in SO much pain! I tell my husband that it feels like I am getting my nipples sliced off by a razor!

    But- we can do this! :)
