OR recommended brushing

but unfortunately didn't explain anything about it. I know in some children it helps to calm their senses. For DS we would hope it would help with sleep. How longhave you have to do it to know if it helps your child or not?Any advice would be most appreciated.

  • *OT recommended brushing.... (oops)

  • They need to give you directions.  It's really a protocol so lots of steps that are important to get right.  I do want to try it, but is a pretty big time commitment for the first two weeks and I just haven't started yet.

  • Thanks ladies. I have never been all that impressed with our OT and am definitely frustrated she did not give me any instructions. I will ask her for specifics. He only goes to daycare two days a week and I think our provider would try to accommodate. We need more information but will likely give it a try.
  • It is strange the OT didn't show you.  It helped me a lot to actually see my OT do it on my son so I could see how much pressure was needed.  I would love to hear if you get good results.
