Thought it would be nice to have some new ideas for everyone!:o) I have only been following the diet for a week and its getting pretty boring so I thought it would be helpful for everyone if we had some new ideas!
I eat a lot of grilled chicken wraps on a low-carb whole wheat tortilla.
I need to do some grocery shopping for this!!!
Right now, my go to meals are soup and salad with a half a roll or bun toasted and buttered. Otherwise, its grilled protein and TONS of broccoli with either cheese or salt and lemon.
I have been doing grilled ham & cheese melts with fruit and a glass of milk, salami sandwiches, fruit and milk. I am going to get some Lean Crusine frozen meals soon.....

Lunches I'm having a sandwich on my panini press on either a sandwich thing or flat bread. I eat a few chips but I buy the ones with the least carbs possible. I've had pork roast, BBQ pork, meatloaf, fish, turkey dogs from trader joe's, spaghetti with barilla plus pasta etc. for dinner. Baked sweet potatoes or 1 or 2 new potatoes for my carbs. I found a mini icecream sandwich I can eat for dessert. Morningstar breakfast sausage is surprisingly good. That's just a bit off the top of my head. I tried 1 slice of pizza and it was disastrous. So was a gyro and I bombed on tortilla chips at the Mexican restaurant.

I was allowed 5 servings of carbs at dinner so didn't find that my choices were limited. I would just measure out portions of whatever we were planning to eat to make sure it would work.

I do egg salad a lot with fruit and some slices of cheese for lunch. For dinner my favorite go to meal would be beef stir fry with a cup of rice. I get the frozen veggies (so I don't have to cut them), The beef strips (or stew cubes), and brown rice. Cook the beef with ginger stir fry sauce, throw in cooked veggies, and put over a cup of rice. Love this! It only takes about 15 min!!

I do a lot of baked chicken, roasted veggies and just explore allrecipes for dinner ideas. I find most recipes for meat are doable if you can skip/substitute any sugar or flour added. This weekend I'm going to do some pulled pork in the slow cooker. I'm using this recipe: https://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/slow-cooker-carolina-pulled-pork-sandwiches/d4aac4ae-c1ac-44fb-9946-bdfa9f8137b1/ just with a larger portion of meat so that I can have tons of left overs for lunches and dinners. From there it'll be easy to make sandwiches, serve it with rice or even make burrito type things. I like getting creative Its also nice because DH can have the sinful BBQ sauce I made but can't eat, but the pork is good enough that I'm happy to have it plain!
For lunch I usually do a hot sandwich (lately I've been on a pastrami kick, but after seeing the mention of salami by a pp I think I have a new craving!) or left overs. I usually can't tolerate much whole wheat bread, so I use sprouted bread called Ezekiel and it is wonderful! Not the tastiest bread, but sometimes you just need the texture more than the taste.
I have been doing a lot of salads. Like a greek or ceasar salad with chicken on top. Then I add my carbs, like fruit or crackers. I will also sometimes do roast beef with horseradish or egg salad on a mini slider bun with some veggies and dip, or sometimes a small serving of chips.
For dinner I have been mostly doing a protein with just herbs, spices and/or some citrus juice, with a steamed veggie or salad and either 1/2 a baked potato or a 1/2 cup of brown rice. Steak with mashed potatoes and veggies is good too. I have also done a grilled cheeseburger on a whole wheat slider bun (15g carbs), with a steamed veggie and tater tots (20g or so of carbs). I am planning on doing chili one day soon with some cheese sprinkled on top. I also have good numbers with tacos or fajitas, you just have to watch your carb count on the shells/tortillas and don't go overboard. Sometimes I even do a small cookie (5-10g carbs) with dinner or lunch, depending on what else I had. They have these mini chocolate chip cookies at Trader Joes that are 5g carbs each.
Pizza has given me high and in range numbers, it does not seem to be consistent. I usually do 1 1/2 slices of veggie pizza with a salad. I might try to stay away from it though because I don't want to risk the chance of high numbers.

I don't really have many ideas at this point
