After three weeks of false labor, we decided to induce on my EDD January 9th. We went into the hospital at 7:30am, started pitocin at 9am, broke my water at 1pm, and held my little man for the first time at 10:13pm. The beginning of my labor, before they broke my water, wasn't bad at all. I played card games, chatted, and walked around. After they broke my water, the contractions got stronger and more painful, but I was still determined to go natural. By about 7pm, the contractions we getting very painful so they checked me and I was only at a 5. So I got in the tub and labored there for an hour or so and had them check me again. I was at a 6. So I got back into the tub for another hour, got out, got checked, and I was at an 8 1/2! Still going natural, I got into bed for about an hour and got checked again. 9 1/2 with just a tiny bit of cervix left! Just a few more contractions later and the nurse said that it was time to push! I started pushing at about 9:30pm and had him at 10:13pm completely natural.

Jaxson was so perfect! He weighed 8lbs 8oz and was 20 1/2inches. Two weeks old now and he is doing great!
