Dr. Brown's Bottle users

Are you planning on sticking with the Dr. Brown's bottles the entire time or are you going to switch to something more simple to clean, etc. ??

Re: Dr. Brown's Bottle users

  • Planning on sticking with it.  DD loves them and gets much less gas than with the playtex drop-ins.  Plus, if I can avoid buying more bottles it saves money!

  • Sticking with them. I think they're great and DS likes them!

  • Staying with for now. I invested a lot of $ in them, I don't want to spend more on another brand she may not like. That said I do have a few Avent bottles and handles to turn it into a cup. I may use it.

  • I plan on sticking with them! I don't find the extra part cleaning that big of a deal and they work well for DS.
  • I'm also still using the 4 oz. bottles. I have the bigger bottles so I don't want to spend the $$ to buy a whole set of another brand. So far, washing the 4 oz. ones haven't been that bad.  Washing the bigger bottles would  really have to be a pain in the a** for me to switch at this point.  We'll see.

  • Definitely sticking with. I tried a playtex last week, and he did not like the nipple. I usually just throw the parts in a big container filled with hot soapy water and soaks until I wash. Not a big deal...these bottles are great.

  • We might switch her to Avent bottles leftover from DS in a couple months. They are much easier to wash and to use while we're out. We'll just have to see how she does with them.

  • I have to move up to the larger sizes soon and I planned on buying more of the Dr. Brown's. The extra parts don't bother me when washing.

  • We got them as hand-me-downs from my sister, just bought new nipples.  We are sticking with them bc DD likes them and the extra time cleaning and money spent on new bottles will be cheaper than buying drop-ins all the time or some other option.

  • We go back and forth between them and the Tommee Tippees.  I can pump right into the Dr. Browns, but the shape of the Tommee Tippees make them better for defrosting milk sticks.  I do a handwash every night and don't find the Dr. Browns take any longer to clean.

  • We initially started w/ Tommee Tippee then switched to Dr. Brown's.  I'm hoping to go back to the Tommee Tippees someday as I feel they're much easier when making formula on the go.  I already invested in the formula dispensers for the TT bottles before we made the switch.

This.  It is just one more thing that is part of being a Mom.  Washing dirty bottles.  It takes me like 15 minutes if that.  I wash by hand, draw soapy water soak for a few minutes and wash tehm up then I sterilize them in the microwave for 5 mins.

  • Sticking with!  The boys like them, they really have outgrown their gas issues, and I really don't want to reinvest in something new if I don't have to.
