  • Around 14weeks it makes sense that you'd be feeling some movement. What an active and happy little baby that's in there.

Also welcome to the board, we love having birth mothers here.

  • I loved being pregnant and I had a very active baby, though I didn't feel much movement until I was about 20 weeks. I'm so glad you're so positive. I got a lot of flack when I was pregnant because I was so upbeat (about the adoption and the pregnancy in general). What I wouldn't give to experience those flutters in my belly again.. Have you had a rather healthy pregnancy thus far? I guess you're just starting to show a little bump soon. I felt like I just woke up one morning and I had a belly, I didn't notice a gradual change. MrsOfficer: that LO is your siggy is getting so big, he so adorable!

  • Im loving pregnancy and im already so happy with my decision to go forward with adoption, im going to embrace and cherish every special kick or punch, wiggle and flutter that I can experience! I had a tough first few weeks I was dropping because my morning sickness was tough, but I came back much stronger lol :) Yeah I have a cute little belly on me now, i already unconsciencely find myself putting my hands on my tummy or rubbing.

  • My sister always described her flutters the same way. :)
  • You are such an inspiration! I admire you so much for the amazing generous choice that you are making, and think that it is so cool that you are really embracing and living the experience. As a potential adoptive mom, I hope that I am lucky enough to be matched with a birth mom who is so involved in the process and will continue to want to be involved in the life of our little one! Seeing things from your side has really helped me get a better view of the process and I thank you for that :-)

  • Have you thought about doing a blog? That way you could have a record of the pregnancy experience and could even keep it going after you give birth. It'd be a great way to always remember these things :)
Rosie born August 29, 2013. Blessed by adoption!
  • You guys are inspirations to me! You have been othing but welcoming and helpful, I owe a big thanks to everyone! I have not once since choosing adoption ever questioned myself, I know what I can provide and I know what I want to be provided for my child and those things arent the same... I cant be everything that I want to hold myself to be. And I never want my child to have to "settle", because I never did and I had am amazing family with TWO parents who loved me, and thats exactly what I want my baby to have. I want him or her to have the mom who bakes cookies for the bake sale, and goes on vacations as a family. That doesnt mean my love isnt strong for this child its painfully strong, i am already soo in love. Its unbelieveable how much  you can love someone you have never met, someone who is the size of your palm!

So thank you guys, thanks for not judging me, and being supportive even though you dont know me from the hole in the wall :)

There are lots of free online blogging sites that you could use... I use Blogspot.com and it's really user-friendly.  As far as where to start with the writing... just write what's on your mind and what you're experiencing! :)

  • That would be a really good idea!! Ill think about it lol its on hold until midterms are done at school :)
