You would think this post is self explanatory, but not quite. I had a gush of fluid. Soaked my panty liner, obviously. But, here's the thing...it's not sweet smelling (as water would be), it doesn't smell like pee nor is it yellow. It's like a creamy liquid.
Now, I phoned my OB's number and because it's the weekend I was patched through to that wonderful (note my sarcasm hospital) the on call keeps telling me it's my plug and to lie back and take it easy.
So, first question...can your plug be like a creamy liquid that gushes out? When I lost my plug with DD, it was very obvious, huge clumps of brown/red goo.
All I can do is if I keep leaking is go to L&D and hope they don't put up a fight.
ETA: For title, completely incorrect, gush OF fluid.
Re: Gush of fluid
I would not think your plug would gush. That doesn't seam right. When they broke my water at the hospital it had a lot of white icky discharge in it. Keep a close eye on it def. don't hold out on going in.
GL I'll keep you and Sydney in my t's&p's
Thanks ladies. I'm monitoring any and all changes now. So far nothing more has leaked or gushed out.
When they broke my water with DD, I didn't feel it, let alone see what it looked like
I've never heard of it being creamy, always mucousy.
Mine never smelled sweet and I've never talked to anyone who says theirs did. GL! Let us know what goes on!!
No sex or cervix check. I was just contemplating on whether or not I wanted the dr to check my progress at my appt this Thursday. It was just so much I have to question it.
I literally had this happen to me about an hour or so ago. Same thing your describing. I put a panty liner laid down and kept an eye on things...I haven't had anything more. It felt like I peed myself but it was creamy, yet watery and white. I'm thinking it was just normal discharge. If it happens again I plan on calling my doctor...you should too

I agree with this. It is always better to be safe and for you to feel comfortable. I had a friend whose water sort of tore when she sneezed hard close to the end and she was leaking for a couple of days before she even knew what was happening.
