We are currently house hunting, so we can't really do much right now except buy stuff. I just ordered the crib bedding set this week, so once I receive that I'll start looking at paint colors, accessories, etc.

ETA: We also picked out the nursery furniture and we're ordering it in a couple weeks.

Painting this weekend hopefully. Then we have faux paneling to go over top and a little more painting once that's done.

I've been collecting ideas on Pinterest and Etsy like crazy. I'm excited to see it all start coming together!

DS and LO are sharing a room, so it's already painted. Just needs to be decorated, need crib for LO set up, dresser, need to get out DS's clothes to wash for LO and set up.

So....I have an idea....but haven't started. It's still just DS's room currently. Our house has no signs or another baby around the house.

We are waiting for our tax return to purchase the more expensive items (crib and dresser), so that's what's holding us up Smile

My husband started last weekend so we are still painting. We changed our trim color to white (it was like an almond) in the nursery so he had to repaint the baseboards and the moulding around the doors (there are three door frames in the nursery because we have a finished attic and the door to walk upstairs is also in the nursery). We also put up crown moulding so he did that last weekend and had to paint that, as well as the ceiling (which was also that same almond color) and the window moulding! So he's been quite the busy beaver haha. I am so excited because he has to do one more coat of paint on the moulding around the doors & the baseboard... everything else is done. He is going to finish that Saturday and then start painting the room! The walls are already primered and as an extra precaution, he bought the paint with the primer in it because the walls were a darker green and I didn't want them to tint my little girly pink walls haha. He is so patient with my craziness it's not even funny. By Sunday, it should be finished and we are going to go to Lowe's to order the wall-to-wall. Once the wall-to-wall is installed, we will have the furniture delivered. We ordered the furniture awhile ago and it came in super fast so they've been holding it at the store for us and will be ready to deliver within three days notice. We are also working on a special thing to put up on the wall. My husband is making a tree branch to wrap around the corner of the room over the crip on the wall and then we are buying nylon flowers to wire to it and nylon 3D butterflies to go around it... sort of like making our own decal. I am so excited!!!!! I can't wait.

We're not painting bc we rent and are planning on buying late summer/early fall and dont feel like repainting haha, but we have the crib all set up so we're somewhat started. Once we get the dresser I'll feel like I can have it come together more.

I will be moving soon too so I definitely haven't started on a nursery. I am even hesitant to buy things because I don't know the type of space I will have and I really don't want to have to move all the extra stuff I bought. I guess I will just have to wait until I move to really get started!

I am in the process of re-finishing my childhood furniture and then we need to paint the room and hang up accessories. The crib, glider, bedding, and curtains are at the house and just waiting for the painting process to be completed.

We haven't started but have a definite plan. I picked out a paint color this past week and we also have the room all cleared out. The only thing that needs done is the old stuff to be taken off the walls and holes patched..

we have all the baby stuff piled in there, literally. Everything I've gone through from DD, hand me down toys from friends and garage sales, the stuff that was in there before (it was DD's reading room-so books, chair and spare futon).

The painting guy is coming to give us a quote tomorrow, so stuff will have to be moved before he has to paint. After that DH will put cribs together and we'll start organizing.

We got started because H coaches in the winter and is busy most weeknights and weekends, so we have to get it done when we can. That and with twins, things happen faster. We have painted, placed wall decals, and set up cribs. I have a post today on my blog showing what we have so far:

My option isn't on the list. The guys (FIL and BILs) put in a new ceiling, because the old one was a drop ceiling. So we sheet rocked. Now they are spackling and stuff. Next, they are going to sand the trim, clean it up, paint the walls, paint the trim, and put in new closet doors. Then we should be ready to decorate! They can only help us on the weekends, though, so this may take awhile.

Can I be a special snowflake?

We have put up the crib and changing table, but aren't doing anything decor-wise because we're in the process of looking for a house, and plan to be out of our apartment not long at all after LO is born.

I'm not even really sure why DH put together the crib, because baby will be sleeping in our bedroom in a portable crib for the first few months. By the time he will be sleeping in his regular crib, we'll be in a new house (fx).
