It would be my luck to have to take this test again at 36w and fail it, huh? Anyway they said there isn't enough time to make me come back for the 3hr test and do anything about it...So they're putting me on a diet and said they just wont let me go past my due date. Their main concern is a big baby.
Now weekly NST, some kind of other blood sugar tests (apparently it can tell them how long my levels have been irregular which is kind of cool), and no more Ben and Jerry's runs.
Oh well. Cervix is still closed and baby is head-down.
How is everyone ELSE doing? ![]()
Re: Retested the 1hr Glucose Test and FAILED :(
Oh boo. But I guess it's a good thing that they are keeping an eye on you and your LO...and making sure he doesn't get too big. And that blood test sounds very cool It's amazing what they can do these days. Good luck with the diet and the rest of your pregnancy. Hopefully it goes by smoothly.
I just had an appt this morning. LO is head down but her head isn't engaged. When he examined my cervix, her head floated up and down. So she's still just kinda' chillin' in there. I HAVE made progress from 2 weeks ago though: I'm now 1cm and 70% effaced. He said if he were in Vegas, he'd bet on me being pregnancy for, at least, another week. Looks like this one may be overdue like DD #1!

Round 1: Femara + Ovidrel +TI = BFP! EDD 2/20/12
2IF does not always equal 3IF...Surprise!
I passed the first test; However, I got a growth ultrasound last week and my amniotic fluid levels were high, so she scheduled another test. Apparently high fluid level can be a symptom of GD.

And Coralee, his baby sister...On the way!
I had to re-take mine at 35 weeks because the baby was measuring in the 90th percentile, and I failed.. they had me take the 3 hour glucose and I then passed. I am still watching my sugars (no pasta dinners!) but I don't have to monitor my blood, take insulin, etc.
Apparently it's common to fail the 1 hour later in pregnancy bc it gets harder and harder as your pregnancy progresses to process sugar correctly. Good luck with everything!
Oh boy! Well you're so close...Whats another week, right?! HAHA I forgot to ask my Dr if Colton was engaged or not. She just said "There's his head"...So I know he is head-down. Next week I'll ask!
