Stinky Breath - Adenoids?

My 2 1/2 year old has the worst breath!  He had his adenoids removed last Thursday and his 2nd set of ear tubes put into place.  Has anyone experienced stinky breath after adenoid removal?  His nose has also been very runny...wondering if that is related?

We have our post-op appointment next week.  I hope the breath and runny nose are better by then. 

Other than that, he is recovering well, was "back to normal" by Thursday afternoon :)  We have noticed that he no longer snores at night too.  He has woken up a few times crying, but I'm not sure if that is pain related or if he is starting to have bad dreams.

    My DS may have to have his adenoids and/or tonsils removed.  My H has been researching it and one of the surgeries (adenoids or tonsil removal) causes horrible breath.  I am sorry I am no help as to which one.

    It will go away in the next week or so.  I barely could get near my boys after their surgeries.
