  11 DPO. I started testing at 7 DPO and got negatives until 11 DPO.

  * PG #7 BFP 12/21/11 - DD born 8/31/12 *

  #2: 14dpo (waited for missed period)

  #3: 10dpo (ended in m/c)

  #4: 11dpo

  I also had betas drawn with this pregnancy: 593 @16dpo and 1444 @18dpo.

  BFP# 3 on 02/14/2011 EDD 10/28/11 Missed M/C discovered 4/19/11 and D&C 4/21/11 On 5/6/11 we found out our Oct Angel was a beautiful little girl

  Me too. 

  I tested when I felt pregnant. The food aversions, all-day nausea, constant headaches and other stuff kind of tipped me off since I haven't had a period since before I got pregnant with DS and don't chart.

  I have an excellent doctor who I've going to for 10 plus years - he knew we were trying to get pregnant and his nurses were excited to know too. I didn't realize it wouldn't be standard practice for someone who wanted to know if they were pregnant or not.

  If your doctor gives you a blood test before a missed period because he's excited to know? He's not excellent, he's creepily involved in your life.

  What a waste of time, money and resources.No it doesn't make me feel better to know there was only one other person in the lab when you got there. 

  I ignored this thread because of the title. It made me think we were talking about steroids. 
  

   Look, sorry I didn't clarify myself from the get-go, but I didn't think my post would cause a few of you to have an such a freaking issue (from the title of it to what was actually written).  The two tests I took at home before I called my doc for a blood test were indeterminable to me.  Faintest lines I have ever seen, most would probably consider negative.  Like I said, I felt "pregnant" and wanted to know FOR SURE, so I asked for a blood test.  I am sure most woman would do the same.   

  I just don't get what the BFD is - at all.  Never will.   And to say my doctor is creepy makes no f'n sense whatsoever, not that I give two crap-loads about what you think, but I don't understand your hostility either.
