I went yesterday to the OB and got my weight gain at 37 weeks. A total of 26 pounds. With dd I went up a total of 30 lbs, so I am hoping I can come in a bit less this time around (even if its a pound, I think I would be happy).
So ladies, spill it...how many pounds have you gained at your last apt?
Re: Ladies, how much weight are you up?
LOUD and proud, 70lbs.
My Midwives just keep saying, that's great! (And I think, "really?")
Am I thrilled? No, not really, but I've been eating well and walking everyday, so whatever. I'll lose it quick.
I had my 36 wk appt yesterday- I'm up 38 pounds. I almost cried in the doctor's office but he said he wasn't concerned about it. I was trying really hard to stay around 30 lbs total but it looks like I will be around 40 lbs- guess that will just mean a little more effort on the treadmill afterwards. Dr. thinks a lot of it is fluid so hopefully it will drop off fast. I eat healthy, 3 meals a day with snacks being healthy foods (fruits, carrot sticks etc) so I figure this is just what is meant to be and won't fret about it.
love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
With DS I gained 80+, I was 215lbs at delivery.
I lost 19lbs in nine days after having him.
I was 145lbs to start with this LO.
I am at 211lbs now. So that is a gain of 66lbs!
I didn't worry about losing the weight with DS until the month before his 1st birthday, I lost most of the weight just last Spring while DH was in Iraq. This time, I plan to start 8 weeks post partum and have all of the weight off by LO's first birthday. :-)

I'm a little above 40lbs. And I'm only 5'4. I can definitely see the weight gain on my face, ass and thighs. I was a runner before I got pregnant, but I stopped when I found out about baby because I have had a miscarriage before and so I was worried about eeeeverything. I'm trying to psych myself up now to get back into it after LO gets here.

I'm up 46 pounds as of today. I was hoping to keep it in the 40-50lb range but I think I will probably surpass that. Not super happy about that.
two weeks ago I was up 26 lbs, I am guessing about 30 now. I have lost all care about weight and stretchmarks....I cant control either as much as I have tried...so I stopped caring. Yes I have gained weight and yes I am covered in red stretchmarks.... but if that is what it takes to be blessed with a baby, sounds like a fair trade!
I will be working hard to feel good about myself again, not just to lose the weight but really feel good about myself. (this pregnancy has killed my self esteem)
32 as of Monday but I've been retaining a lot of fluid. I seriously feel like the girl from Willie Wonka that turns into a blueberry from the waist down. I need to be juiced.
I'm up 9lbs as of my 34 week appt (that was down a pound from my 32 week).
With my first I gained 60 and lost 32 within two weeks, with my second I gained 30 and lost 32 again within two weeks. This time around I figure as long as I stay under 32 pounds I'll come out ahead of the game (of course, I was already overweight to begin with)
After 2 1/2 years TTC, 3 IUI's, endo, and a lap, a surprise BFP brought us Alexandra Marie!

You ladies will probably think this is nuts, but technically ZERO weight gain. I am already plus-sized/overweight (they would have only wanted me to gain between 11-15 lbs). Then I was diagnosed with GD and lost about 10 lbs. in a month (totally normal, as I understand it). At my appointment yesterday, I just made it back to my pre-pregnancy weight.
Because of my size and the baby progressing just fine, my OB and GD doc are actually thrilled with the way I maintained my weight. I'm just glad it was okay to not gain and that I will weigh less after pregnancy than before (crazy for a plus-size girl to imagine).
