Trying to Get Pregnant

How are you keeping busy??

TTC is hard!! And it sure is stressful. Instead of obsessing, I found something to keep me busy and keep my mind of things. Now that the holidays are over!!!! My cousin is getting married in the spring and her shower is coming up. So, I'm kind of planning her shower! I'm only a bridesmaid but the moh is lazy and doesn't seem to care.

I told myself before that I would not do it, but I couldn't resist because I enjoy it! I think It will turn out great, and I'm excited for it.

How are you all keeping yourselves busy or occupied so you don't think about TTC??

  • We're repainting the condo and doing small repairs to get it ready to put on the market.  Also doing Crossfit since I know I'll have to stop once I'm KTFU.  I think it's important to have something else to focus on.

  • I'm sort of failing miserably at keeping busy Sad

I spend a ridiculous amount of time bumping and reading internet articles about TTC.

BUT . . . I am a member of 2 book clubs, my best friend comes over for girls night once a week, and my husband and I make seasonal "lists" of things we want to do for date nights and fun.  We try to cross everything off the list by the end of the season.  (For example, for the winter list, we have tobogganing, snow-shoeing, having a fondue night, etc.)

  • We got a puppy. Also going to Hawaii in a few weeks and trying to enjoy drinking wine! That part isn't difficult.
  • Working out, reading and pinterest mostly.
  • All I ever seem to have time for is sleeping and working (I do nights). I'd love to have more time on my hands because I can think of so many other things I want to do! Of course, if I were less busy then I'm sure I'd be obsessing over TTC more so maybe it's a good thing.

  • We are remodelling our kitchen.  Countertops were torn out yesterday and granite goes in Monday.  After that we have to have the new stove installed, the oven needs to be repaired and I need to paint.  We haven't decided on what to do for a backsplash so we will probably get started on that in February.  Besides that I'm working a lot.  I've been asked to teach a class at a convention in 2 weeks so that has me distracted.

  • I'm also sort of failing at keeping busy. I'm not motivated at work, which should be keeping very, very, very busy. Instead, I'm procrastinating. We have no projects we need to do at home (although I have baby related DIY projects I'd loooove to start on). I need to start up my book again - "Five Families". It is about the history of the mafia, and is really intriguing.

  • I'm training for my first 1/2 marathon next month and trying to just spend lots of quality time wih DH and my dog. I think it's important to now let ttc consume me and to stay focused on right now. That s way easier said then done.

  • I've been trying to cook more and find new recipes...which makes my husband happy! I also focus on being healthy and continuing to work out. It may not completely take my mind off of it, but it helps relieve the stress :)

  • Working, planning out projects we wanna do around the house, planning our trips for May and June, and enjoying time with my hubby and our two puppies
  • I worked out the pa st four days in a row to keep busy. Normally I go four times a month. I'm finding it hard to stay focused at work though!
  • OP I have no good advice for you. Each cycle I tell myself I'm going to be cool in the second half of the cycle during the 2WW but I am never, ever cool about it. Never. But, here are some things I have tried:

    Sim City

    Books on Kindle

Tried to knit (failed at knitting)

    Reading magazines and journals

    Catching up on DVR TV...
