so i m in a bad mood to begin w/ after dh got home from work late last night and all he did w/ ben was pick him up off my lap (asleep) and put him in his crib (asleep). it had been a really fussy day so i was really tired and dh hasnt been helping in general. then ben wakes up at 1:30, i left him till 2 then got up and it took me an hour and a half to get him back to sleep and in bed. so i was up till 4 since it takes me forever to go back to sleep again. then he waks up for the day at 6:30. again, i left him as long as i could, got him up, changed him (dh has already left for work, oh yeah, when he emptied the diaper pail which i asked him to do last night that woke me up too, at 5:30) and went to get my juice. hes still super fussy and was wriggling around in my arms. and he twisted himself right out of my arm and fell on the kitchen floor! luckily he landed on his side and i think i sorta ended up lowering him as he fell. but what a crappy start to the day.
i just hope he naps better than yesterday and that dh gets home at a reasonable time!
thanks if you made it this far!
Re: bad mommy morning (long)
awww...poor thing! you and your ds! my ds woke up at 5am for the day and as i was walking to make his bottle i slipped in a big pile of dog puke.
so, i think we are just both going to have one of those days!
Man, I am so sorry. I have had those days and nothing fixes them except to go to bed and wake up tomorrow.
I was holding DD last week and she loves to throw herself back. She fell out of my arms because I wasn't expecting it and landed on the floor and her neck made a snapping motion to the side. I dropped to the floor and started hugging her afraid to move her. She finally moved herself which assured me I could pick her up. I was hysterical. And DH just kept telling me it wasn't my fault. Regardless, if there was irrepairable damage I'd never forgive myself. Those are just typical feelings/reactions for what happened to me.
I hope that your day gets better. Maybe after Ben has a long nap (please take one too when he's down) you'll both be re-focused again and able to enjoy the rest of your day.
