Uhm you guys rock my face off! Tripp update...already

Ok, so first off you guys are amazing. I am so happy to be part of this "family". Already we have $240! HOLY COW!!!

Ok, so I talked to a local landscaper. His name is Jeff. He said for about $300 he can get the tree, plant it for them & maintenance it for them. He was a super nice guy and knew who it was for as soon as I gave him the address. When I asked if he knew the address because someone was already doing this, he said "No darlin, this is a small town, we all know Tripp & Courtney" *cue tears*

Now, that was for a bigger tree & highest price scenario. BUT I do love that we would also be supporting a local business. Are you guys ok with that? I think that at the rate we are going, we will have plenty and probably still enough for the plaque.

He and I were both choked up by the time I got off the phone with him. I also checked the ratings on the company and it was all great reviews. I just love knowing that they will do an extra special job, knowing why we are doing this! You guys are so amazing!

First, what you are doing is awesome. I think it is such a thoughtful and meaningful idea, and the Elmo tie brings tears to my eyes. Can't donate right now, but I will later tonight.

One possible suggestion I would throw out there is any additional money be sent straight to Courtney. Between medical bills, the time and money she dedicated to her son, and his funeral service I hate to think about her stressing about money at such an extremely difficult time. If she would like to donate the money to research, great, if not, I hope that it would help if only a bit.

If the consensus is for the additional money to go to EB research I am fine with that too.

I donated and I'm 100% ok with the money going straight to Courtney. I'm sure she needs it more than she's willing to admit.

You know, that's a better idea. I didn't even think about the expenses. I think that would be fabulous for her, take some ease off her mind.
