My dad and step mom are in town visiting. They brought DD tons of birthday gifts AND want to take her shopping for more. H is in a parade on Monday, but he gets the rest of the day off as well as Tuesday... AND he has Friday off. Two day work week = AWESOME!

Older DS had a hockey game this morning. We dropped older DS at home after his game and took LO on a ride down to Holden Beach to scout out houses for our big family vacation this summer. Now to take it easy the rest of the day.
Tomorrow is church in the morning and then I have to cook taco meat for youth supper tomorrow night at church. I'm trying to figure out how much ground beef to buy to make tacos for 30-35 teenages.
Weekends go way too fast. I think the work week needs to be shortened by at least one day.

I got sick last night in the middle of the night, it was not fun, I will spare you details. Starting to feel better but super pissed half my weekend was wrecked. When you work a full time job, have two part time side jobs, and a 1 year old you are already away from far too much, you covet the days off you get, and this weekend has kinda blown so far. Plus my office is open Monday, booooo.

We had a bust of a weekend - I had an all-day babysitter on Saturday and DH and I along with some cousins were going snowboarding. It would have been my first time. Then Sunday we had my MIL's family's Christmas get-together.
HOWEVER, my Nanny got blown away by the wind on Friday and ended up in the hospital with a broken clavical, 2 fractures in her hand, 10 stitches in her finger, with tons of other cuts and blood EVERYWHERE (from blood thinner medication). This comes less than a week after she was discharged from the hospital with a heart attack, 99% blockage, and a stent. We almost lost her from the heart attack. Now this.
SO, I lost my babysitter (my mom) and ended up at the hospital every night after JT went to sleep. And on top of that, instead of our 12 month appointment ending in shots, it ended in antibiotic with a double ear infection. This meant the Sunday party was an almost bust (I went for a short while to get him out since he was on antibiotic for 4 days by then...but he's still hurtin').

HUGS! I'm so sorry about your Nanny. I hope she's feeling better soon. She sounds like mine, doesn't want to let anything get her down or keep her from doing stuff.
I hope JT feels better soon. Ear infections suck! give him lots of snuggles and tylenol/ibuprofen. Hopefully your week goes better!

I really haven't done too much of this...only when he had a slight fever but the pedi told me not to give unless fever is over 101 (which it wasn't). I think I'm going to give it more consistently until the ear aches go away...I'm such a pvssy sometimes but I really should just give it to him! It's only fair.

Oh, I'm such a mean mom.
I didn't with A at first either because it made me nervous and I've given way better drugs to way tinier babies, but hey my kid right? But when he started having ear infections all the time and was so miserable I was all about around the clock alternating tylenol & ibuprofen because if it was me I'd take it to make myself feel better. They need rest and pain relief. You are not a mean mom

L's birthday is on the 25th, so we just went with the Saturday after. It's nice that E's birthday worked out to be on Saturday!
