You get to decide....

DH and I are divided on this, so I'd like your opinion.

For DS's birthday cake, do you think standard buttercream or whipped icing would be best?

Use any criteria you would like to decide Stick out tongue

Re: You get to decide....

  • I say whipped because I think it would be messier and lead to cuter pictures.  DH thinks buttercream because DS has never really had sugar before---and if you're going to do it, do it right.

    What do you ladies think?

  • Whipped! It just tastes WAY better. Why give DS crap frosting for his first bday! Whipped all the way. lol

  • If you're making it yourself, buttercream. It stands up way longer, so if you frost the day before it won't look like sh*t. And your pics will be cute nomatter what.

  • I prefer the taste of homemade whipped but you can't go wrong either way. Broccoli, of course, brings up a good point.
  • I'm in the minority here but I prefer buttercream for taste. I also agree that it will hold up better. But it's still frosting you can go wrong!
