Anyone NOT done with their nursery yet?

So there have been a ton of nursery progress posts, and I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only one who hasn't finished the nursery. We've painted the walls and have all of the furniture (except for the glider). But that's it. I still need curtains and shelving and other decorations.

Is anyone with me, or am I the only slacker?! Embarrassed

we painted and I just finished my changing table/dresser refinishing project, and we have curtains up... we haven't done any 'decorations' or organization or anything like that yet! We're going to work on it this weekend a bit.

Embarrassed We really haven't started. We have the carpeting ordered, the paint bought, all the furniture, but we have to clean the room our once our kitchen is done and then we can get everything together. Ugh. I don't have enough time.

FAR from being done! Feel like there is sooo much time left but really there isn't. We have to get it painted, put the crib back together, move Billy OUT of that room into his new one.....to do that we have to get the new carpet in his room, order his bunk beds, get bedding for him, and fix our closet.

wow - so much to do and I am dragging my feet on it. I better get on it!!

We have all the furniture and we have painted the room. I then realized we needed to do another coat of paint because you can see some brush strokes, also my friend is going to do a mural and I have no idea when she plans on doing it but I don't want to keep asking her. I haven't done anything else as far as shelving, decorations, etc.

Oh thank goodness! So glad I'm not alone. 32 weeks is quickly approaching, and the unfinished nursery is mocking me. My DH thinks I'm crazy.

I'm sure it will all come together for all of us!

I have no furniture, the floors are cement because we still need to install the hardwood flooring, the wall is ripped open so we can repair our dryer vent, and there is certainly not paint on the wall. I'd like to say it's a work in progress but.... it's sort of just a mess right now! I have been buying decorative things and some old fashion toys to put on the shelf unit on the wall but other than that.... absolutely nothing is done. Don't stress!

We've painted 2 out of 4 walls, ordered the furniture, and ordered a blackout shade. The rug has been delivered, but not laid out yet. I have the bedding, but it's still packed up. We need to head over to the container store and get our Elfa closet system purchased... I still have lots and lots to do! But hoping to get at least the painting done this weekend and maybe the closet.

Totally in the same situation. My mom and her BF have offered to make custom shelves for Abigail's room. He's come so far as to come by and measure for the shelves but that's the last I've heard about it. I've casually mentioned that I'm doing a frame project in white satin paint and requested that the shelves be in the same finish. I'm pretty nervous about them finishing these shelves though.

Honestly? I think it's a coping mechanism for me. I'm not worried at all about delivery but that's because I focus (i.e. stress) on other things instead --like not having the nursery done.

This poor second child. We put together DD's crib and put it in our room. That's about it. We can't even agree on what to do with the poor kid once I can't stand having her in the room with us anymore. That took about 3 weeks with DD- I'm an incredibly light sleeper and have you ever heard a baby sleep? omg So cute. The sighs and the lip smacking kept me up all night. I want DD1+2 to room together but DH thinks DD1 will be a nightmare. Kids adjust. I think I'll win. Or we'll move because the other bedrooms are 2 floors down where the heat barely works, so I'm not putting either child 2 floors away from us, nor am I subjecting any of us to the brrrrrr.

This is me... pretty much. We are keeping the room beige (we just painted not that long ago and this way when the kid says "Mom why is my room so babyish? Can we change it?" I can be like sure... no big deal to me. We did buy furniture because it was costco and I loved it but it's in the box surrounded by other C-R-A-P. My DH is off the last week of this month so he'll tackle it then.

haven't even started! hoping to start clearing out the room this weekend! my goal is to have it done by Jan 28th which is the date of my shower.

ETA: also don't have any furniture yet and probably wont by the 28th cause I'm ordering 1 piece a week.... starting with the most necessary items needed for when the baby is actually here in case he's early.

It's still SD's playroom. I have gone through and sorted her toys, but we still have 5 boxes of things that DH says may have sentimental value and he needs to evaluate each item. ...one box is full of McDonald's toys, can't I throw that one away??? We only just a moment ago even talked about paint. We decided that we will have to wait until we our tax returns because we just can't afford it at the moment (Christmas is biting us in the butt). We also have no furniture.

I am overly, immensely stressed about all of this, too, might I add.

We're at the same place as you, OP. We have the furniture, but missing the glider. No curtains, no shelves/decorations. Sigh. I'm not terribly worried though, we've got time. Besides, the baby will sleep in our room for a while, so as long as we have the pack-n-play (and someone's got it off our registry already), we'll be ok.

We haven't finished our nursery either. We are waiting until after the shower(next weekend) to finish up the nursery. My husband wanted to wait to see what people (i.e. family would buy for us). I would like to be finished with the nursery by the end of Feb. But we'll see!! (Mean time I've been organizing the house to be ready for a newborn explosion!!)

Ours is slowly but surely coming together. We had to mud and sand the walls to repair them from the previous owner. I just finished painting the walls, and the trim needs one more coat. The floors are getting finished on Monday, and I need to find curtains and have DH put all the furniture together. Right now, all of our baby stuff is piled in my living room...can't wait for this project to be done!

I am in the same position as you. I don't have any of the decorations, shelves, curtains. We have to decide on that stuff and then order. I am waiting for my shower before we order the glider because I figure we may get gift cards/money. It stresses me out, but it will all get done!

We havent even started since we are still waiting to hear about the house we are trying to buy. Hopefully we can move in before the baby is born! Its not looking too good so far.

I have not even really started it yet. We are in the middle of re-doing our DD's room first (painting it this weekend) and we need to get her furniture in there before I really set up his room and that isn't happening until early Feb so, nope not even close. I do have most of what I need to set it up (sheets, blankets, decor elements etc) but I do have a few more things I need to get (for both rooms actually).

My poor child doesn't even have a room yet! We are in the very long process of closing on a house as we speak and they keep pushing the date back. We're in a one bedroom condo now and with two showers coming up, we have no where to put anything! We are now looking at the 27th to close... originally starting at December 30th... UGHHHHH!!

I haven't done a thing.... the nursery still has junk stored in it until DH gets one of the rooms in the basement finished (hopefully this weekend). I haven't even picked out bedding. At this point with DD we had a lot more done so I feel like a slacker.

We don't have much done either. The room is mostly cleared out and my DH put together to storage cubes yesterday while he was home, but that is about it. We do have a crib, still in the box, need to get a dresser still and are not painting because we rent.

We had to completely gut the room. So right now we have new sheet rock up that's almost ready for paint. We have new doors and windows put it. We still have to finish the hardwoods floors, put the ceiling fan up, put the closet system up, trim the windows and doors.

So yah we are a little behind and my poor DH has been doing it all!

I'm right there with you. We have the crib set up (though need a mattress) and a lot of unassembled furniture. We have some friends coming the end of the month to help us out and my shower is next week, so I hope to make most of the progress before Feb 6th (one month before I am due).

We painted the room a long time ago when it was still nice out so we could keep the windows open and let it dry faster. We have his furniture, it's currently stored in the basement because we are having new carpet installed on Saturday. We plan to set up the furniture on Sunday. My shower isn't until the first weekend in February so I'm a little nervous about waiting that long to do everything but I will do all the laundry after the shower to start putting stuff away. It makes me panic just thinking about all the decorating I still have to do!

My SIL has 6 giant tubs of clothes for us that I need to get from her because I want to wash the newborn and 0-3 months clothes first. I'd like to get those from her ASAP but I have no idea when I will see her next!

We haven't started at all, though I guess we're ahead of some in that the room at least has carpet and paint (not specially chosen for the baby). We just moved right before Christmas. We have no nursery furniture. My MIL and I were in the middle of choosing it the week my FIL got diagnosed with cancer, and then 2.5 weeks later he died. So I don't know if it'll get done anytime soon, as it became a total backburner issue. My mom is going to bring the family bassinet when she comes for my shower next month. I figure the baby will sleep in that in our room for a couple of months.

We are currently in the process of renovating the house we just purchased. Currently the room which will be the nursery is stripped down to the sub floor. The crib is in pieces in my in-laws basement, the rug is rolled up in the car and the small dresser is in the new house as the only piece of furniture- which everyone uses to store their car keys in when they come to help renovate! The bassinet and car seat are at my Uncle's down the street as we are showing our townhouse currently. I think I am the furthest behind and for some reason I am not to worried about it! I'm waiting for full panic mode to kick in.

We've got the paint purchased but not on the walls yet as we still have to clear out the room. I want to steam clean the carpet before we set up the furniture which is still in their boxes; except for the glider - and that's just sitting in an awkward place in our dining room area. The bedding is cleaned - and I only have that because it's the same bedding as what I had for DD. It's pretty gender neutral (Peter Rabbit) so no big deal as this kiddo is a boy. My shower isn't until Feb. 11th but I'm hoping that we'll have the room completed before then. The biggest thing that slows us down is that my DH is off every other weekend so progress has been slow.

Us! We have her wall touched up on the shared nursery. DS is transitioning out of the toddler bed into a twin in Feb. then we will have the crib back. So, all in all we wont be done till the first or second week of Feb.

I have the room painted and the furniture put together. I have half of the trim painted, but it is sitting in the Garage. I hope to finish the Crown molding by the end of this weekend.

I then have to wait on my bother in law to come down and put it all up. Once that is done then the curtains and the rest of the decorations for the walls can be done and then we will finally be finished. The problem is that it is really hard to get him down here because he now has a new girlfriend and we have not heard from him since he found this new girl. I hope that plans on coming down here soon though because his work schedule will be picking up next month and if I don't catch him before then then I will never be able to get him down here.
