I went from a Medela manual to a Medela PISA yesterday. I feel like I'm getting less with the electric pump than I did with the manual. I'm lost on why. The flanges are the same size...I don't feel like the suction is much different. I'm even spending the same amount of time with the electric as I did with the manual. I'm lost!
With the manual I found myself getting a solid 3.5-4 oz. per session. With the manual I'm only getting around 2 oz.
Any ideas?
Re: Getting less with an electric pump?
Are you massaging your tissue the same? Chances are you were using both hands with the manual pump to get things going.
Also, switch out the membranes, sometimes those can be at the cause of issues even from the start...
How sad ladies! I only invested the $200 in hopes I would get better, faster results! I really feel ripped off!!!
Thanks for the suggestions though! I'll be trying all of them in hopes of getting things going!
