Wet Bag Questions

Hey Ladies!  I'm putting some CD accessories on a registry and I was hoping you could answer a couple quick questions.

1)  I put 2 planet wise pail liners on the registry.  Is that enough?  Are PW pail liners good or do you rec something else?

2)  I know most of you really like your PW wet bags.  How many of each size should I get/register for?

Any other info for me?

  • I'm making an amazon.com registry for all of the odds and ends that aren't at Target and BRU.

And Pancho and Emma say "Thanks! We know we're cute and that's why we can get away with being so very lazy."

  • I registered for two PW pail liners (2 so I have one to use while the other is washing), but am now thinking I'll go with a hanging wet bag, but leave it unzipped. Apparently, not allowing airflow to the diapers can make them stink more. So I'm changing my registry to 2 PW hanging bags and 1 medium PW wet bag.

  • I just bought and received 2 PW hanging wet bags for the nursery. I plan on buying 2 medium ones for the diaper bag. That's all I'll be getting...

  • We have three PW hanging bags and 4 medium. Our little dude seems to need a changing constantly, so we fill them up pretty quick, often before we have enough for a load. With the hanging we usually have one full (for a few hours, tops), one in use, and one ready to go when I start a load. The mediums are downstairs - one in the diaper bag, and the rest rotate through the PnP, where Mr. E gets changed during the day.
  • Are you glad you are using the hanging bags vs. the pail liners and a trash can?

We didn't want to have one more thing with a footprint crammed in, so it's easier to deal with a hanging bag than a pail. We have one of those Scotch removable hooks on the wall next to the dresser (where the changing pad is), so we just drop it in there. And we leave it unzipped to air out, which is easy right now because his poop doesn't really stink yet. :)

  • Nice. That's exactly how I feel (about the footprint). Thanks!

  • I didn't use CDs on a NB so you will probably fill the pail faster that way but here is what works for us:

We have a large PW wetbag in the nursery for pee dipes or limited poop dipes.  In the bathroom, we have a garbage pail with a liner for sprayed diapers.  I have to get a replacement for my pail liner when it's in the wash.  Currently, while I'm washing, I just put the dirty diapers in one of my travel wet bags (I have 3) - those hold about 3-5 diapers each or about 6 Flip inserts.

So I guess it depends on your set up.  If you plan to use a pail with a liner then I would get two liners.  If you plan to put a pail or wetbag in another spot, like what I do, then you might want a replacement for that one too.

I think once your LO gets here, you will have a better idea of what works for you.

  • We use 2 large hanging PW wetbags and one medium one for the diaper bag.  My son is almost 2 now and we have been using this system since birth.  We have a hook on his dresser/changing table and that is where I hang the bag, I have always kept it zippered and usually wash diapers every 3rd day.  We have a sprayer in the bathroom and after the diaper is sprayed (if it is poop) then I just put in in the bag in the room.
