Moving to the area!

Hello ladies! I am moving to upstate New York (from Virginia) this coming weekend.  I'm anxious to know of any groups in the area.  I'll be going from being active duty military to being a SAHM so I definitely need things to do.  I look forward to making some new friends!  My son, Harper, is 18 months.  We'll only be living in the area for a few months while my husband finishes his last semester at Syracuse University.

    Hello and welcome to the area!  There are a few Syracuse moms on this board.  I live in Liverpool (just outside of Syracuse) and work downtown near SU.  I am not a mom yet, but am expecting my first in July.

    You picked a good winter to come up!  This has been our most mild one yet!  I hope you enjoy your stay and find lots of fun things to do with your time!

    Thank you!  My husband has been in the area since this summer and our apartment is actually in Liverpool.  We visited in Oct. and went to Niagara Falls.  I couldn't believe that it was still about 70 degrees at the time!  Congrats on your LO! We hope to start TTC #2 very soon!

    Welcome! It is definitely a mild winter but you still may be in for temperature shock. I moved from Florida 3 years ago, during winter, and we're still not quite used to the cold! I am in the Finger Lakes, about 35 miles from Syr/Liverpool area. Welcome to upstate NY!

    Hello & welcome!  I'm in the Binghamton area, about an hour south of Syracuse.  There are a lot of SYR ladies on the board though.  Good luck with your move and welcome to NY!
