Annnnd add broccoli to the no-no food list

Since being pregnant I have found that I just cannot tolerate certain foods that have never bothered me in the past.  Yesterday I had some raw broccoli from a veggie tray and I kept having horrible, noxious burps for the rest of the night.  Then this morning I have the same problem, but, um, er....from the other end.  I cannot stand myself right now.  Nobody told me that being pregnant would be like this!!!!!  Stick out tongue

Re: Annnnd add broccoli to the no-no food list

  • Ugh I feel your pain.... I have a list of foods I can't smell, can't taste, can eat but will re-visit at a later date, and on and on.... I loved "mexican" type foods and can't eat them, not because of the spiciness, but I think it's the cilantro they use in a lot of the dishes... soooo disappointed.

  • I was like that with broccoli beforehand... I found out the hard way in junior high (horrible time to find out) when I got super gassy in the middle of geography after a lunch of fresh veggies... I'm pretty careful about knowing when I'm going to be consuming it, but because I love broccoli so much I tend to eat it when I'm at home.

  • It was from a "veggie tray" I avoid any pre-cut veggies or fruits.

I should have said it was from a veggie tray that I made, not a store-bought one. Those things skeeve me out.

I also cannot handle raw broccoli. It makes me have terrible gas pains and a horrible stomach ache. It's very tasty when I eat it but I regret it unless it's been steamed.
